Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South KoreaFor me I was happy here, but please be aware that this is not a hotel and more like a casual room in someone’s house. Some people may not appreciate the cats, the shared space, the slightly run down / homely feel of the place.
For the price, it is a huge space and if you want to then you can make yourself at home there. Bed was comfortable and clean, location great, early check in.

PolandThe apartment is in a great location, 10 minutes walk from the main train station and 1 km from the city's biggest attractions. The owner Martina lives in apartment but she's very nice. Excellent contact, easy booking. Beautiful apartment, very high. Shared bathroom and kitchen.

United KingdomThe walls are quite thin so if there are other guests you can hear most things, but when I stayed this wasn’t an issue. The bathroom is shared and there wasn’t a shower curtain to use the shower fitting with ease, but it was nice to have a bath. It’s quite an old house but personally I found this to be charming, so for short stays I would highly recommend if you’re not fussy and just need somewhere convenient and nice
I stayed here for one night before my flights. Located 10 minutes away from the city centre and easy to get to from the station. My room was big and had a balcony. The host was really nice and offered recommendations of places to eat or things to see. No noise from outside as it is a quiet area. There is a bathtub

United KingdomMartina doesn't speak English (I don't speak Italian) but we sorted things out in the end. Stay relaxed and all is good.
This was a very spacious room in Martina's apartment. Martina is a lovely Italian lady - like your grandmother - so while not all is clock-work, if you are relaxed all is good. She recommended a lovely and very good value restaurant to eat. The location is very near Porta Nuova. The apartment is very clean and the bed comfortable. And it was very good value for a night's stay.

Netherlands- there was another person in the house which I did not expect and I did not fully understand whether he lived there of what his role was. Made me feel a bit uneasy.
- it was a nice street and a nice appartment building - inner city could be reached quiet easily by foot

Czech RepublicI had a great stay at Martina's! Ana, the owner of the apartment, was super friendly and accommodating! The room was big and the bed super comfy. The location of the apartment is amazing! 5 minutes from the train station and walking distance to historical centre of Torino. The breakfast in famous pasticeria of Torino was a truly nice touch! I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Grazie mille, Ana!

BulgariaThe noise from the landlord - talking very loudly in the corridor after 10pm. The cats running everywhere on the 2nd night . In fact , you cannot use the kitchen except the refrigerator ( not big deal when in Italy , I adore the Italian food ). Probably the information of the facilities should be corrected , sorry .
Martina is very kind and trying to help. Not abundant, but an attractive breakfast (very good croissant with coffee) in a well-known pastry shop next to the block . Large, comfortable bed ; clean bathroom .

GreeceThere was no sound insulation whatsoever. The apartment was considerably cold, sometimes it felt colder than outside (our stay was in September, an otherwise not so cold month). The apartment is particularly old (really high ceiling, uncomfortable bed mattress, old-fashioned black furniture etc). Please note that you share the apartment with the host (and her cats), as well as the guests of the second bedroom (there are two rooms rented), which might not be clear in the description of the apartment (even though for us, sharing the apartment with the host was not a problem as she is incredibly friendly, though she doesn't speak any english). The bathroom is common and there is no real space to leave your stuff. Also, touristic taxes are a bit high.
Location is very convenient as it is close to the city center (20 min by feet). Breakfast at the pasticceria nearby was very good. Very friendly host and funny cats.

DenmarkUnfortunately, there were several shortcomings I experienced during my trip. My key didn't work for the front door, so every time I needed to enter, I had to ring the bell and hope someone would let me in. The lady who owned Martina could only speak Italian, which made things difficult, and I never figured out how the breakfast worked, which was supposed to be included in the price, so I had to buy breakfast myself in addition.
The location was very nice, within walking distance to restaurants and shops.

The room was spacious, plenty of natural light, close to the tourist hot spots, access to transport is withing walking distance, the host was friendly and welcoming, the room felt traditional of a palatial style as it has super high ceiling., All good
