Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceAwful checkin and overall poor communication made the stay very stressful. Not worth 146 euros a night, felt like I had to beg for basic info. Main photo looks like a hotel building but it is not, it is rental units in a building. Have to call a local number to get inside. I asked for check-in at noon which was confirmed. When we arrived at 3pm, we couldn't get in and had to call the number 7 times before someone picked up to let us inside. There were digital locks with keys but not for other units. An Italian couple was in the same situation and was waiting since 10am (5 hours) before they got the keys! They were also very annoyed. We asked for the wifi code and where to park, two staffs didnt know, told me to call the number again. 3 more calls before pickup. The manager said he didn't have wifi to be able to send info, will send the address and code in 20 minutes but never sent it. I wrote to the official account on Whatsapp asking if I need to switch rooms as I booked for two nights. No reply. A day later, another person wrote me asking to give the keys back as another guest arrived despite booking of two nights. The manager really should send checkin instructions to guests to avoid all this headache and let guests know if they should switch rooms or just read guest messages. No message sent by the property to give any info about parking or wifi or checkin which is so easy to do.
Well decored and clean room in a good location but spoiled by the stressful checkin and lack of communication to get basic info for the stay.

United KingdomWe couldn’t access the property with the key code given for the key safe as it was the wrong code and there was no one available to give us the correct key code, we ended up waiting out in the heat for around 30 mins before we could get in by another resident coincidentally opening the door, communication with the staff generally wasn’t great, ended up having to transfer the city tax money via bank transfer after the trip as we didn’t know to leave it before check out, a fridge in the room also would have been good.

Canadano staff to greet us in person, only by phone. Not every tourist has phone service in Italy, so I had to use my data and paid for a few phone calls. There were bed sheets however no pillow cases (which I find displeasing to sleep on a pillow someone used with no pillow case for the pillows) and no soap, no shampoo or any toiletries in the bathroom. Just toilet paper. When taking a shower, the water goes everywhere. Had to dry the floor with towels.

United StatesPoor communication with host throughout our stay. NO WI-FI to speak of. Host never answered the phone or texts to solve issues. Host asked us to contact him on WhatsApp, then proceeded to tell us the next day that he can’t receive calls or messages on WhatsApp. (We were actually speaking on WhatsApp at the time) and I sent him a message showing him the message he sent us to use WhatsApp. He goes out of his way to shed any responsibility. Great location but doesn’t make up for the other irritations. Other sites have good reviews for this place, but TA is more accurate with my experience.
