Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Perfect location, 10.minuted walk from center. The hosts were very nice and responsive. We had a very good breakfast on their nice roof terrace, and parking was free and just outside the apartment

Owner was very helpful suggesting restaurants and aperitivo bars around Noto. The location is great, just 200mt from the Cathedral. Breakfast on the terrace is very good with selection of freshly baked cakes and, coffee and juices and the possibility to choose an extra product vie the link the owner sends you the day before. Very clean and cozy place to stay in Noto. Highly suggested

Lost pillows down gap between bed and wall. Being really picky.

I highly recommend Marla’s Boutique rooms at Noto. Maxsimo is a great host, very friendly and extremely helpful. He was so kind to offer us a ride from/to the station when we arrived via public transport. The room was spacious and very tidy. Cleaning was done every day. The breakfast was good, made with care and served in the terrace. This well maintained property is located in a quiet neighbourhood slightly off from the main streets yet very easy to go to the main streets (just 5 mins away by walk). Staff were very pleasant. There was absolutely no noise during the night. I will definitely opt to stay if I visit Noto again.Thank you Maxsimo for the pleasant stay.

Very central location on piazza, close to restaurants and centre of town. Easy to find free parking nearby. Rooms clean, large and secure. Lovely rooftop terrace breakfast served by Marla. Large shower.

We stayed in this apartment during our stay in Noto and were very happy with our choice. This place was suitable for all our needs during our stay. The apartment is very clean and tastefully decorated. The location is very good, with easy access to the historic area on foot. The hosts were very kind and supportive to us, they were always helpful when we needed something. Marta also gave recommendations for places to visit. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place. Thank you Marta!

Excellent from the word go- From being welcomed by the very efficient and welcoming Martha to the clean and comfortable facilities, to the very tasty breakfasts and to top it all the roof with it’s protected wooden Gazebo- cannot be more happy! Great last place of holiday in Sicily!

Marla’s place is amazing, we absolutely loved it. The location is perfect 5 min walk from historical centre but calm to stay. The rooms look exactly like in the pictures. Breakfast on the roof terrace was amazing. ❤️ The owner family are very warm hearted people, attentive and made our stay very pleasant with a personal touch. It makes a big difference in today’s online/usually self check/in world. Wish more and more people come and visit them in Noto. 🙏 Marla’s rooms should be the benchmark for all accomodation in all of Sicily.

Such a hidden gem! If you stay in Noto, stay at Marla's! Parking is easy on the square right in front of the guesthouse and throughout my stay the owners were so kind & attentive, sent me recommendations and were so helpful. The room is wonderful, huge and also has a big bathroom. Super clean with amenities, Hot/cold air, international TV channels, Coffee/Te machine in the room. I slept better than I do at home :)The breakfast was wonderful, homemade cakes, jam, ricotta, the best coffee and soft background music to start the day. The location is quiet, with 1min walk to the historical part of Noto and 10 min drive to lovely sand beaches. I was on my own but never felt unsafe. Grazie mille Maxsimo & daughter! I will be back!

The room at Marla's Boutique Rooms was clean, beautiful, fragrant and spacious. Breakfast offered with a wide variety of foods. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for a walk in the city center. A wonderful experience. Thank you. James, Romina and the children from 🇲🇹

Our room didn't have much access to natural light, however, the electrical lighting in the room was very good. We would have prefered more natural light but this was not possible the side our room was located on.
Exceptional attentive customer service at all times. High quality establishment with a lot of effort put in to making the rooms and facilities the best they could be. The room facilities were excellent with 3 types of TV (Sky, Fire Stick and Free Sat) and the roof top breakfast area was superb.

Marla was an exceptional host, and she went out of her way to ensure that we had everything that we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. She even carried my wife's 22 kilo suitcase up the stairs for us! Breakfast was amazing, and she even made us fried eggs every morning.

Everything was great
The location was very good. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The room was very clean and all the staff were very helpful. They did their best to ensure a comfortable stay.
