Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryWe didn't mind, but heads up that the walk to town centre is up some steep streets, and not a lot of sidewalks.
The host, the breakfast, the room were all superb. We enjoyed sitting on the shared balcony too, watching the ruins of the old palace out front. We also enjoyed the walk to town, and that it was a bit more secluded, away from the busy streets. Very quiet evenings, even with open windows you could sleep really well. Clean and cute!

CanadaNothing it was great!
We had a lovely stay here during our time in Italy! The space was very clean, well-kept, and exactly as described in the listing. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out, and we felt very welcome throughout our stay. At this point in our Italy trip we are 3 weeks in and have stayed at 10 properties- this one stands out! Our host was amazing—very responsive, helpful, and gave great local recommendations. She went out of her way to provide 2 lovely breakfasts with local delicacies straight from a local bakeries and stores. She even included a little bottle of prosecco as it was our honeymoon! The bed was also the most comfortable we have slept in yet! AC was great. Elevator in the building if needed. Parking was free right outside the apartment. It is a 10-15 minute walk to some of the main streets with a slight hill up but this was no problem. We went to the valley of the temples and the Turkish steps- both I would highly recommend!

United KingdomFirst of all our host Laura was amazing, so friendly and helpful. Our room and bathroom was spotless clean, we loved the decor. The room was a good size with plenty of storage space and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen, breakfast area was fantastic to use during your stay. What can I say about our breakfast, it was amazing. You had a great choice of sweet or savoury food, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea and juice. You did not leave hungry. Local Restaurants, shops, town centre and public transport are only a short walk away. Pick Malu Bed & Breakfast as your number one stay in Agrigento.

CanadaThe fact that our stay was only for one night. 😄
Exceptional place to stay! Newly renovated, squeaky clean apartment 10min walk from downtown Agrigento. Felt like we were in the 5star hotel! Laura was a fantastic host - warm, friendly, and hospitable. She made us feel like at home. She waited for us downstairs and helped us to find the parking, she gave us tips for what to see in the city, and offered great recommendation for romantic dinner in the gardens and best ice cream in the city. She personally prepared breakfast for us (scrambled eggs) in the early morning (at 8am she was all set to serve us). The breakfast selection was wide and good quality: fruits, veggies, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, fresh bread, pastries, cereals, juice, coffee…everything that most of North Americans may want for breakfast. Nothing like typical sweet Italian breakfast (coffee & croissant). 🙂

AustraliaLaura is friendly, responsive and provides excellent instruction and information about Agrigento. She provided us with a map and showed us the locations of the best restaurants, key historical landmarks and even offered to make dinner reservations for us. She provides a great breakfast in a beautiful clean communal space. The bed was comfortable, the windows have roller shutters which provided us with a great sleep. The room and communal areas inside are modern and Laura was able to let us in remotely even though we arrived early which was very accomodating. The room is on the second floor but there is a lift after one flight of stairs. Off street parking was provided for us which is good because it is a busy area.

South KoreaNothing.
The host (Laura) was very welcoming and offered us drinks upon arrival, showed us a map of Agrigento to guide us how to get to the city center. You could easily find free parking area in front or next to the building. She gave us great restaurant/cafe/Gelato bar recommendations (the best Gelato/pistachio cream). The room was super clean, and breakfast was excellent. You can definitely tell how serious Laura is when it comes to providiny good food to make sure her guests are well-fed! They were a variety of savory and sweet bread/pastries (she asks a day before if you want sweet or savory breakfast), juice, cheese, ham to choose from. We also had a great time at a local market that Laura recommended us to visit which opens every Friday. You could tell that it was a genuine local market (not like Ortigia market) as it was filled with locals. Fruit was cheap and we had great fun looking through second-hand clothes at a flea market. Everything was perfect in Agrigento. The city was beautiful, people were kind and food was great and cheaper compared to other cities in Sicily. And Laura and her b&b was the cherry on top!

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious and varied — a real treat each morning. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the beds very comfortable. Free parking right in front of the property was super convenient, and the city center was just a short walk away. Highly recommended!

United StatesThe accommodation is just about 6 min walk to old town and 5 min drive to the valley of temples. The room was amazing, clean, and very comfortable. The owner, Laura, is just the best. She is very attentive and makes sure you feel at home. She gave us recommendations for restaurant which ended up to be magical. The breakfast is the best I have ever had in Italy, hands down. Overall, the experience was delightful.

GermanyThis B&B guesthouse was a real highlight of our round trip. Not only were we well looked after already on our way to the location by the friendly and warm-hearted hostess Laura, including detailed information on parking options in the area of the building; no, Laura didn't even miss the opportunity to direct us from the balcony into a parking space on the admittedly somewhat challenging, uphill road. The guesthouse is located in a quiet area and the lift takes you and your luggage up to the second floor. The rooms are well equipped and spotlessly clean. The buffet breakfast is so plentiful that it bears comparison with a five-star hotel. The hostess is happy to prepare eggs according to her guests' wishes. Having been thus fortified, we were able to face the challenges of visiting the temple area with confidence. Thank you, Laura, for making us feel like members of your family.

SwitzerlandWonderful stay – highly recommended! Laura, the owner, was there to welcome us when we arrived at 7:00 PM. She showed us around the property and took the time to explain the area, pointing out where to find sights, restaurants, and bars. For breakfast, she organized fresh and delicious local specialties—both sweet and savory—which were a real highlight of our stay. This is the kind of accommodation I would choose again without hesitation. Truly fantastic and leaves nothing to be desired.
