Barbara is very pleasant and was excellent at communicating with us all the details and meeting us at the train to walk us to the apartment. It was better than I expected and suited us nicely. We spent much time on the patio, and the cool breezes and sound of the waves kept us very comfortable at night. Shops and restaurants are nearby, though we primarily ate our meals in the apartment to take in the view. We also did a pesto making class by Lucca, which was very convenient as it was only a 5 minute walk to his apartment. I would not hesitate to book Malbo as a base to explore the wonderful villages of Cinque Terre.

We had a wonderful stay at Malbo’s place. She kindly met us at the train station and was very patient despite our delays. She also shared a bunch of great recommendations and helpful tips that really enhanced our visit. The apartment was spotless and even included daily cleaning services, which was a nice touch. It’s perfectly located right in Riomaggiore, just a short 4–5 minute walk from the train station, with a beautiful patio overlooking the town. One thing to note—like everywhere in Cinque Terre, there are steep stairs, so pack lighter than we did (lesson learned lol!). That said, the location and hospitality more than made up for it. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again if we return!

It is very hard to find something to dislike, just minor details: would be great to have shampoo and shower gel, and perhaps the handheld shower head should be replaced soon.

Nothing we didn’t like. We suggest travellers don’t take large bags as there are a few stairs. Much easier with small to mid size bags. Marino was fabulous helping us carry our big heavy bags! We will learn to pack lighter next time.

What a glorious apartment, location and view. We loved sitting out on the verandah soaking up the village atmosphere whether it was enjoying an early morning coffee or relaxing with a takeaway pizza and wine for dinner after our days exploring Cinque Terra.

The property was amazing, staying in the heart of Riomaggiore. It had an incredible view from the balcony facing down to the Marina. Barbara was so easy to communicate with and her husband was so lovely, meeting us at the train station, helping us with our luggage to the property.

The breakfast was very limited, but I can't remember if this was meant to be included anyway.

Communication was excellent. We were met at the train by Barbara and led to the room, which was just as well as I think we would have gotten lost! Barbara was lovely and easy to deal with, despite the language barrier. The room had a lovely view with a balcony, and was close to wherever we wanted to go. Facilities within the room were great, including having towels for the beach, so we didn't have to pack wet towels when we left.

I loved everything about this property! The location was perfect. The hostess, Barbara, was perfect. The apartment itself was immaculate and nothing was spared when it comes to the design and amenities for Malbo. The owners put so much thought into the colors, furniture, and extras that make such a difference.
