Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe location is key!!! I would recommend you take the train into Sorrento as the B&B is a 5 min walk from the station. If you take the ferry into Sorrento it's about 15 min walk but uphill. Theres stairs that take you up to town about 100 steps. With luggage it's not fun. The cabs are so expensive they gauge prices due to the terrain and how overcrowded the busses are. The train was just fine with 2 bags and 2 backpacks. Salvatore is very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. He was awesome! I would highly recommend his location especially if you plan on taking the bus to get around and he is 2 blocks away from the bus depot and all buses go out of there to amalfi and positano. There is a tabbachi store before the train/bus depot stairs on the main avenue a couple steps after the Q8 gas station. The location is so convenient for travelers taking public transportation. The port is a 15 min walk down. To come back up there is an apparent elevator that i didnt take but i know its there to help you up to the main square.

United StatesEverything worked for me, but some people would prefer to be closer to the sea and the beaches (15-25 min walks).
A great apartment on the 1st floor of a residential building. A very comfortable and clean room. I liked everything! The host communicated promptly, gave great suggestions about Sorrento and the area, and, overall, made me feel very welcomed.

United StatesThis is a great place to stay, with a personal touch. It’s quiet, with modern facilities. It is a five minute walk to the train station and a ten minute walk to the center of town. Salvatore made us a nice breakfast each morning and we enjoyed talking to him.

United StatesLoved everything!
The location from the train station, the beach, the shopping and dining were so easy to navigate by walking. The boutique property is modern and clean. Salvatore, the owner, was helpful and welcoming. He personally prepares baked goods for breakfast with an array of meats and cheeses, juices, fruits, yogurts, etc. I would stay here again!

United StatesNothing.
The location is unbeatable, minutes walking to Sorrento central bus/shuttle/train station, which takes you respectively to Amalfi coast, Naples airport and Naples central train station; Sorrento ferry port is about 10~15min walking away. Nearby you can find restaurant, self-service laundry and several grocery stores. The host is very kind and able to provide us with flexible daily schedule on the breakfast. The breakfast includes bread, hams, jams, boiled eggs, coffee/tea, yougurt, banana, home-make cakes, and etc, well beyond my expectation. The host also uses WhatsApp to promptly answer my questions to help me explore the Sorrento/Amalfi areas, like a local friend. The B&B includes daily room cleaning.

AustraliaPerfect
Situated in the perfect location for our seven night stay in Sorrento, a very short walk to the heart of Sorrento yet tucked away in a quiet street. Our room was spacious, very well appointed, new and extremely clean. The room was serviced every day. Salvatore is kind and caring, the perfect host. He enjoys communicating with his guests and has a delightful sense of humour. He was always very prompt to respond to our questions, from the moment we booked right through to the end of our stay. Salvatore provides a lovely breakfast with hot and cold options, sweet and savoury, served in a separate breakfast room. On the days we were starting early on tours he made sure we had some breakfast food prepared for us the night before. Highly recommend.

Host Salvatore was helpful with everything we needed, often going beyond expectations to satisfy our needs. For example, one of us needed to do laundry and he went to the laundromat to assist. He also generously gave us snacks on our way out and arranged our transportation to the ferry. Location of property was amazing, very easy and safe to walk around at all hours.

GermanyA little expensive but definitely worth it.
Comfortable, spacious, modern looking room. Everything was functional—AC, hot water, shutters, fridge, bidet, hair dryer, etc. Plenty of towels too. Room gets cleaned every day. We slept like babies. Located on the ground floor of a non-assuming residential building in a quiet alley, just a short walk from Sorrento train station. There are 3 rooms and a common breakfast area. The host / manager Salvatore, a true Sorrento local, was very friendly, responsive, and helpful. Be sure to ask him for recommendations on restaurants, activities and how to navigate the area. He even gave us some spare bus tickets for some of our day trips.

The real gem was Salvatore and his breakfast room. Salvatore was an exceptional host who was always very helpful and was also very accommodating to my vegetarian husband. A five-star experience and one we will probably repeat.
