How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Verified reviewThe location is incredible! In the heart of Città Antica in a very cute Piazza… it is absolutely worth staying in Mahamo Suites just for that. The Suite is also very spacious and the decoration is lovely. The bathroom is also very spacious and well appointed.
They should not use the landing between the 2 suites for laundry. It is quite unpleasant to walk and see all the linen hanging and drying there. It also creates a musty smell throughout the property - not pleasant at all. Also the linen does not seem to be properly clean; it smells of must. If they continue to do this they should ventilate the property better and invest in a drying machine.

Verified reviewThe location is very good, in the very center, easy to get to by taxi. All attractions and restaurants are within walking distance.
At the entrance there is a steep staircase to the second floor. In our room the entrance is through a utility room with washing machines, a clothes dryer and a basket for dirty laundry. There was no desired water in the room. The air conditioner is turned on only by remote control and did not work all night, in the morning the room was hot. We had to open the windows, after which we could not fall asleep, as the noise from the street did not let us sleep. Communication with the staff takes place remotely, this is the first such experience, I can’t say that we liked it.

Verified reviewEverything was as described, even better. Clean, cozy, in an excellent location, enough room for everyone and quite comfortable. Bonus: well lit and a big shower.
The room got a bit too hot and hard to breathe during the night. Also, I think the bag storage price could be reduced.

Verified reviewGreat location! The apartment is very close to the old town, which is very convenient. There’s also a shop with hot food right next to the apartment, which is very handy. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s possible to park across the river in the blue zones, where it’s free from 8 PM to 8 AM and then only €1/hour — so an overnight stay may cost just a couple of euros. The apartment is spacious enough and very clean.

Verified reviewLocation is superb. The room is of a good size, and the bathroom - and especially the shower cabin - are suprisingly big. There are balconies both in the room and in the bathroom. A lot of restaurants around and a good supermarket right in front.
You cannot regulate the temperature on the air conditioner yourself, you need to ask the landlord and she will do it remotely. The pillows are rather thin (it's the cheapest IKEA variety). There is no fridge in the room, not even the smallest one - which makes life challenging in the summer heat.

Verified reviewAfter reservation, we have received automatic message about instructions being sent to us via e-mail. We did not received any, even though we have contacted the accomodation via booking with reminder. After arriving at the location, no answers to calls. We got response after contacting the acommodation via whatsapp and the communication was rude. We waited for 20 minutes on the street, in front of the accomodation for the response (after our reminding). Again the communication had unpleasant tone. After 40 minutes of communication, which led nowhere we had no choice but to ask for cancelling the booking and we had to find new one. Furthermore, the booking was cancelled with the reason we did not arrive, which was no true, and we had to pay fee to booking.com, but we have agreed to cancell the booking with full refound. Horrible experience.

Verified reviewWe absolutely loved our stay in mahamo suites<3. The hostess was very very nice and it was really easy to communicate! The room was big and comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. There's a lot of space to move around and to put your stuff down. Everything was very comfortable and relaxing, very home-like. The location in the city centre is very handy, since you can walk everyone by foot and the parking is nearby, just a few minute walk. The check-in and check-out process was easy and quick, everything done online. We truly recommend it and we would be happy to return!

Verified reviewTop top top! Everything was absolut perfection. Love for detail and quality in decoration. The shower in particular was fantastic! Everything was well organised, sparkling clean and the location is phenomenal.
Parking was a bit of an issue, but we parked across the river, where there's free parking for residents - we had no issues there.

Verified reviewI booked one night stay in this BnB for my boyfriend because he went to Verona for working.
The only problem of bnb is they seem like not well organized for the person who visits Verona to work. The receipt that I requested for work it has been arrived 3-4 days after, also I should have insisted every minutes because bnb didn't maintained the promises for sending receipt. They made a system which everything works just with whatsapp but they don't respond immediately when you need.

Verified reviewThe biggest plus of Suites is location - near to arena, near to turistic spots and restaurants. The way how is arranged room is very nice, there is home atmosphere. Coffe, wine glasses and some snack available.
Cleaning of the room must be improved. I am on booking Genius 3 and I have never experienced towels and linen in this condition before. It was not dried properly and with musty smell. We saw wet towells to be closed in washing machine for all our staying ( 2 nights) - so maybe this is why. There is dryer and washing machine between two suites. Owner said that is problem with dryer ?! You can not run apartment like this. On our arrival they “accidently” swap our suite. I paid for bigger one with balcone Suites 1- more expensive, but they didnt prepare it for 3 people so they offered us smaller one Suites 2. In Suites 1 was strong musty smell - like carpet is not dry properly - so we were happy to stay in 2 in the end. Bed sheet was small so when i was moving at bed during night it was always going out . To be honest we found hair on the bed too when we arrived. Together with smelly pilow I am not sure anymore if they change it properly. I am not happy to write bad recension , but HYGIENE IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN COZY LOOKING ROOM. Owner was available on whats up - thats true - after all of this I believed she will come to see problems, but it didnt happen, she only gave us 20 eur discount for smaller room. Another thing is that you have to take you garbage with you on check out - thats mean that they doesnt care very often about suites :(.
