We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Madama in Bari! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owners, who are simply amazing - so kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They truly made us feel at home and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The breakfast was delicious every single morning - fresh, varied, and prepared with love. It was the perfect start to our days exploring Bari. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable, with every little detail thoughtfully arranged to make guests feel relaxed and at ease. The location is excellent as well - close enough to enjoy the heart of Bari, yet peaceful and quiet at night. It was the perfect balance between comfort, charm, and convenience. Everything exceeded our expectations - the hospitality, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. We absolutely loved it and would come back without a doubt. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Bari!

Everything was perfect.

We had an amazing time at Madama. Incredibly gentle hosts offering a really great and lovely prepared breakfast. We could use the kitchen and had a share of the fridge to leave some stuff there. Very clean rooms and a very good site to reach the inner city and the central train station of Bari. Perfect accommodation for spending some days in Puglia.

The lack of air conditioning is definitely the biggest drawback. Breakfast was a bit too small; everything was listed, every roll and cheese, but it was still okay.

Good location, a 10-minute walk from the main train station. We also managed to park our car outside the building, but unfortunately, it was paid during the day. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, clean, and towels and detergent are provided. The hosts are great, especially AnnaMaria. Breakfasts are good and fresh, but a bit too little for my liking.

We immediately felt at home, cared for by the kindness and attentiveness of the hosts. Every day, they asked how we were doing, what we had visited, and gave us great suggestions on what to see and do. In a moment of difficulty, when we didn’t know how to get back from Locorotondo, they were incredibly helpful. They even offered us a ride from Monopoli to Bari, knowing we didn’t have a car. That kind of generosity is rare and unforgettable. Breakfast is a special moment, lovingly prepared by Anna. It’s shared around a common table in the kitchen, creating a friendly atmosphere where you can chat with other guests. We tasted many local delicacies: olive oil, mozzarella, burrata with sun-dried tomatoes and Rucola , pastries, cornetti and everything was delicious. The house is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the bed was truly comfortable. The location is also perfect: close to the train station, but far enough to avoid the less safe area at night. And it’s only a 10-minute walk to the heart of Bari Vecchia. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic, peaceful, and well-cared-for stay. We would go back in a heartbeat!

The location is a bit farther from the city center and sea, so it’s a bit of a walk—but it’s a peaceful spot, which some may enjoy. The bathroom is shared, which wasn’t clearly mentioned at the time of booking (only the shared kitchen was noted), so just something to keep in mind. There’s no air conditioning in the room, but there’s a brand-new fan that works really well and keeps things nice and cool!

Host Anna is great! 🩷 she helps in everything. Everything there she put a lot of love, all details, everything has super good quality. We feel like queens. Room is beautiful. Super comfortable. I totally recommend. Staff is great! Breakfast is really good. 🇮🇹

This spacious and bright apartment was a delight to stay in. Enjoying daily breakfasts with local pastries was a lovely touch. The location was excellent, just 15 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the city centre. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

The apartment is bright, with a lovely balcony, and the bed was very comfortable. It’s located 15 min by train from airport. The location is great — in the old town, within walking distance to the city center and main attractions. Staying at the apartment in Bari was a wonderful experience! The host, Anna Maria, made sure everything was perfect for a comfortable stay. We also appreciated the breakfast with fresh bred, jam, juice and local baking , tea and coffee. Anna Maria was always in touch, checking if we needed anything.

However, it is not within walking distance of attractions and quite far from the station. There is a lot of noise from the street during the night, and it is very disturbing when guests check in late and make noise. We did not sleep well. Sharing a bathroom is really inconvenient. The 60 steps up to the apartment are not comfortable with luggage. The host also requests that guests wash their own dishes after breakfast. not a problem for me, but some guests ignore the request.

However, I unfortunately had a very uncomfortable stay overall. I only realized too late — after booking — that there is no air conditioning in the apartment. I reached out to the hosts a day before arrival to ask whether the apartment would be comfortable in 35°C heat (as it was in July), and they assured me there was an alternative cooling system and that I would be fine. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. The apartment was booked for several days, but I had to leave two nights early because it was simply impossible to sleep. The host suggested opening the balcony door and a door to a shared common area, but that didn’t feel comfortable or private. If you close the doors, the room becomes unbearably hot and stuffy. If you open the window to the street, you hear all the traffic noise and early morning suitcase wheels from people heading to the station. After three nights of barely sleeping, I was exhausted. There were other small but frustrating issues. There was no laundry detergent, so I had to buy a full bottle just to wash clothes once or twice. You’re only allowed to use the washing machine in the evening. One day, a fellow guest told me I had put my bottle of water on “their” shelf in the fridge, which I didn’t know was even divided — especially odd since they had already drunk my water. On my final day, a new guest moved in next door, and I couldn’t access the shared bathroom for nearly an hour. Also, I think guests should be informed in advance if other people are going to be brought into the house.

The apartment is truly beautiful — all the furniture is new, light, and tastefully chosen. I also appreciated being allowed to check in earlier than the official time, which was a thoughtful gesture.
