Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of fruit, pastries, juices and cereals, The location to the walled city of Lucca was excellent. That was a main reason for my initial choice.

The room was a bit outdated, but it was a comfortable stay.

This was an easy walk into Lucca, parking is spot on and safe, which was a priority for us. Luca was so helpful, outlining the top spots to visit in lots of detail. Lovely breakfast offering and very quiet.

I loved everything from the beginning to the end of our stay. The place was beautiful ,very clean, and comfortable. We chose to have breakfast included, and it was amazing and complete with cold cuts, fruits, yogurt as well as the best cappuccino I had in Italy, and we sat in the beautiful garden outside to enjoy it. The host Luca was incredibly helpful. He gave us a map of the city and explained to us how to get around. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a wonderful one, and the place and host exceeded our expectations. Villa San Donato was the best place we stayed on our Italian tour.

Breakfast was included and very nice! Luca was very friendly and welcoming, he even gave us a lift to the train station on our last day. The location was great just five minutes walk from the historic walled city of Lucca.

Lovely large villa with authentic Italian furnishings and nice garden areas. Family room was excellent. Breakfast was adequate and served by the staff outdoors which was lovely. Luca was very friendly and gave good tips about sites to see in Lucca.

Romantic and relaxing villa, with private parking. Very clean. Staff was helpful. Location is perfect, outside city walls but very quiet. You can reach center in 5-10 minutes. We recomend it.

Luca was very accommodating as we arrived earlier than check in time. Able to park car in secure parking and walk (5 mins) into Lucca medieval city walls. Luca showed us all the best places to visit some which you would have just walked past. Breakfast was nice, you select and it is brought to you on the terrace or in the garden room.

Villa San Donato is a beautiful villa very close to the walls and historic centre of Lucca. Lovely clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast is excellent with an extensive choice. Luca, is a very welcoming host with suggestions of what to see and do close by and kindly offered transport to the railway station for our onward journey to Bologna. I highly recommend Villa San Donato.

Luca was so wonderful. He was so kind and even made us breakfast. We left something there and Luca had it sent to our next location. The room was so comfortable. Just a lovely place to stay!

The villa is very charming, conveniently located, and comfortable. Perfect for exploring Lucca. Luca is a fantastic host as well. He goes above and beyond for his guests, including providing a map and a list of restaurants and explaining the town’s layout and highlights. He also picked us up from the train station, and kindly helped us out in a pinch when we found out my son had left his backpack at the villa after we arrived at the train station. We loved everything about our stay and would highly recommend Lica’s B&B

That we only had time to stay one night. !

Luca was a charming and generous host who went out of his way to help, even though we were only staying one night. He was passionate about his City and eager to share his knowledge. The room was lovely and the location perfect. We would have loved to have stated longer. We will return and will book San Donato.
