The only one small problem was the large metal gate outside the window did wake us up when it closes but it was a good alarm clock.

The location was fantastic, literally a minute walk to all amenities and the lake. It was also nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Everything we needed was in the room with some nice little touches. There is also a supermarket just around the corner if you have forgotten something.

We have European electricals and we could not plug any of them into the walls...meaning we were left having plug and unplug all small electrical from the extension lead the kettle and coffee machine are plugged into. The room was also on the small side which meant as a couple we felt very cramped. We stayed for a few days and they were not enough cups or spoons in the room (and they were no bowls) for us to have breakfast (there was a minifridge to store milk) - Como is quite expensive and we didn't want to waste money on breakfast when we were eating every other meal out. Other point - which we didn't challenge at the time of checking in - the owner asked to take pictures of our ID. This now makes me feel rather uncomfortable knowing someone I don't know has a copy of both our IDs. I've never had to show this when renting direct from the owner, let along have then take a copy of it.

The room was ideally located in Como for the wedding we were attending at Villa Geno. Como Lago Station is just a few minutes walk away, pretty spot on when you're travelling from/to Milan Malpensa. It was also in a quiet street which meant there was very little noise. The bed was very comfortable.

I have traveled to 39 countries and stayed in countless hotels, but I have never experienced anything as terrible as my stay at this place. The host was exceptionally rude, and the room was abysmally small for over 200 euros per night; there wasn’t even enough space to open my suitcase. I had to place my suitcase literally in front of the door as there was no other space available. Additionally, the AC blew air but did not cool the room and the wifi didn’t work. It was also very difficult to find the hotel; I had to leave my daughter with the suitcase at a café and search for the place on my own. To make matters worse, I discovered bugs in the room, and there was even a note stating that the AC couldn't be set lower than a certain temperature. After a long journey, I arrived at Milan Airport around 7:30 PM, took the train to Lake Como, and reached the hotel close to midnight. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to exchange my US dollars for euros that day. The next morning, I asked the host if there was any alternative method to pay the 6 euros required at checkout. With no options available, I had to leave the hotel and walk 20 minutes to find a currency exchange. By the time I returned, I was sweaty and exhausted. The owner then sent me a very rude message demanding that I return the keys and take my luggage. I was already on my way back with the 6 euros when I arrived, feeling tired and with a headache. To add to my frustration, the cleaning lady rudely informed me that I was very late for checkout. I apologized and explained my situation, but she coldly replied that it was not her problem. When my daughter, who understands Italian, tried to intervene, the cleaning lady insulted her in Italian and told her to go to hell. She also said, "You and your mother are [expletive]." Since my daughter understood what she said, she replied back, sending her to hell too.

Nothing as per supposedly good location, but couldn’t even find a close currency exchange or an ATM and a couldn’t sleep because of all the noise since the room is literally in the parking.

Small but perfect for a short time or one person!!

It was perfect! Air conditioning worked FABULOUSLY! It was so perfectly cold in there which felt great in this July heat. Location is perfect, so close to all main attractions and ferry. Lora was responsive and kind. She saved us and responded to our last minute booking request at 10:30pm after getting stranded in Como (missed last bus back to our accommodation in Bellagio). I would highly recommend this home and the host.

Nothing to not like

The location is fantastic, in the very heart ❤️. Restraunts, Lake, football stadium and train station. However very quiet and private and safe. The room was clean bed very comfortable perfect in all ways.
