Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyAlthough lobby is fantastic, with a lot of antiques, bathrooms could use an upgrade.
Location, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast with fresh orange juice, home made pastries and juicer. View from the room balcony and large balconies. Great beach and easy beach bar. Pool is also nice and facing the beach.

GermanyMaybe they could open the beach a little earlier than 9 o’clock, but you can still get to the beach via the public footpath anyway, so no big deal.
It was understated (old) Italian elegance, not mirrors and chrome bling. It was beautifully quiet and peaceful with very comfortable rooms and plenty of sun beds on the private beach.

United KingdomThe hotel was a bit dated, but that added to the charm really. The area is a bit scruffy, if you walked away from the hotel area there is much litter on the beach. Also there is quite a few abandoned beach cafes. The town again is quite scruffy and there is not many nice restaurants (we just found one), but that is no reflection on the hotel, that was lovely.
Just a fabulous location, right on the beach, stunning views. Hotel was charming, pool was lovely and beach facilities were amazing. The gym was well equipped. The room was lovely

ItalyAt this period, the beginning of June, there were many mosquitoes. I forgot my balcony door opened by dinner time and I got really difficult night. The room was full of zanzare and I almost could not fall a sleep. But I know it was my own fault.
You are really in the beach, which is very well managed by the staff of Le Dune. If you like you can walk a bit and find lovely areas of free beach. I had the sea view - paying 20 euros extra and I do not regret it. Lovely balcony at the sea front. The restaurant is nice, but they make you to eat too much and after you notice it in your wallet :)

United StatesThe lunch and dinner service at the hotel is very pricey and the food is mediocre. Not bad, just nothing special. Wine list, very pricey with bottles of wine starting at 34 euros. Staff was friendly and accommodating for the most part, did encounter one or two snarky serving staff.
The location can't be beat! It's right on the beach with a beautiful pool. comfy lounge chairs everywhere, and umbrellas with a little shelf around the umbrella pole to place things. Short beach so you are very close to the shoreline without having to go too far. The water was not too cold or too warm and not rough, but had some waves which were fun, and no shells, rocks or seaweed! The outside showers to rinse off before and after the pool, and the sea, and even a place to wash the sand off your feet, were very convenient. The decor of the hotel was beautiful, in an old-world style, with heavy wooden doors, brass fixtures. The bathroom was spacious, but as in many European countries with older buildings, the shower stall was a little tight. The open-air, covered, dining balcony was very large and open for all meals. The breakfast spread was very good, with many selections. You can enjoy the view, sound and smell of the sea from the open-air dining area. Easy ride to the town of Sabaudia and to the mountain town of San Felice which is absolutely beautiful and everything you would expect from a small, mountain, Italian town, with cobblestone streets, small shops, wonderful restaurants and beautiful views from the look outs on the mountain. Not many tourists, mostly Italians on vacation with their families.

ItalyThe time I cound spend there was too short :)
The hotel is at the waterfront and if you wish you hear the sea vawes all night. It's the place you want to spend with your friends or alone, looking at the sea and reflecting or writing. Perfect place for a break or mini-break form your daily life not far from Rome!

ItalyStaff at the desk was rude and impolite, according to the management I was ‘upgraded’ from a standard garden view to a sea view room… but guess what, I was given a garden view room with partial sea view. Rooms haven’t been refurbished since the 1970’s, bathrooms are also old. The entire hotel needs a renovation and maintenance, it’s such a shame! Beware of rude snob Roman clients and concierge staff .. best place of the hotel is the beach.
Great Location with beach front. Staff working for breakfast is the only great thing about the place. Helpful and friendly, they are surrounded by rude and disrespectful guests.

ItalyYou cannot go at the seaside early in the morning from the hotel. You need to walk quite a bit around the hotel to find the bath which brings you down.
A total relax just at the sea front - with the sea view from the balcony. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff.

United KingdomThe room, smell of mould, very old bathroom and bed. It seems there was Not enough staff to serve the number of guests. All staff was superb, but the service wasn’t very good because short of staff. Also food was good but the average. Everything was good and really enjoyed my stay, but for the price and considering it’s a 4 star I had high expectations.
The location , the kindness of staff, the swimming pool. The sound of the sea at night to fall asleep.
