How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Very good location and price. Helpful host, answered questions very quickly, suggested various places to visit, where to eat. There were no problems with parking, which was very important. Very clean room and beautiful view from the balcony. We recommend and thank you again!

We had a great stay! Matteo was super friendly and welcoming. We got a little surprise on our arrival. The bed was very comfortable and everything was super clean. We could definitely stay again. It's very convenient with local restaurants and shops around the corner as well as the station. My friend lost something and Matteo kindly posted it all the way to Germany - thank you so much 😊

We had a great stay! The location was perfect — just a few minutes from the train station, which made it super easy to visit Cinque Terre. Matteo was very friendly and helpful. He assisted us with parking, gave us lots of useful tips, and always replied quickly to our messages. We would definitely stay here again!

It is very conveniently located — only a 7–8 minute walk from La Spezia Central Station. The building is an old but beautiful apartment, and it has a lift, which is a big plus if you have a large suitcase. The room is impeccably clean and well-equipped. Check-in was very smooth, and Matteo gave great recommendations for local restaurants, cafés, and bars. He also provided very helpful advice for travelling in Cinque Terre. Overall, it was a really comfortable stay, especially considering the price. I can’t recommend this place enough, and I’ll definitely come back to Le Tortorelle.

Because of the water heater, hot water could be limited if you want to take a shower one after the other.
The room is exceptionally clean and newly renovated.

The host Matteo could not do enough for us. He met us at the property and helped get our bags up to the unit and the escorted us to the parking spot. The room was clean and well equipped.

The only thing to keep in mind is that street parking can be tricky, so I’d recommend planning ahead if you’re arriving by car.
I had a great stay at La Spezia Room! The location is excellent — just a short walk from the train station, which made it super convenient for exploring Cinque Terre. The room was very clean, cozy, and well-kept. Overall, a really comfortable and well-located place to stay!

Very clean! Beautiful view. The room was spacious and well kept. Matteo kept in close contact with us to ensure we successfully accessed the room and had everything we needed. Also, I loved the sounds of the birds in the morning!

The room was perfect for our stay - Matteo met us when we checked in and made sure we had recommendations for shopping, restaurants, and navigating the Cinque Terre. We were on the 4th floor, and it was great to have the elevator available. The location was very convenient for the station and only 10-15 minutes walk from the city centre and its facilities. It was cool enough that we didn't need the air conditioning, but it was good to know it was there! The bathroom was modern with a large shower, and the room fridge was helpful for storing food and drink for breakfast.

Matteo was very nice and helpful, giving us tips to visit Cinque Terre. The room was very clean and spatious, with everything we needed (including coffee). Additionally, the room was very close to the train station, which was a bonus.

There was nothing wrong with the property. It was perfect for me and my partner.
The property was very clean and had the majority of amenities, including clean towels, clean beds, smart TV, a coffee machine, wardrobe, draws and hairdryer, free and fast WiFi etc… The host was very welcoming and provided clear instructions how to access the room and was able to assist us leaving our luggage on site before the dedicated check in time. The location is a close walking distance from La Spezia station and the centre and we had a great view of the area from the 4th floor overlooking the town from the balcony. Thank you so much for making us feel very welcoming and we had a great stay. We will certainly be back again!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It had everything that we needed. It was clean and spacious. The views from the balcony were beautiful. Location is convenient, within 12-15 minute walking distance from the city center and 10 minutes from the train station to 5 terre. Matteo was very friendly and gave us useful recommendations for delicious restaurants and getting around.
