How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe location was phenomenal. Right next to the Duomo and tourist areas, while on a secluded quiet classic Italian street. Very clean and modern rooms for the price, so no complaints. Reception was lovely and accommodating. I accidentally left an expensive item behind and they were very accommodating and honest when attempting to collect it.

Verified reviewI want to warn anyone who wants to spend time in this hotel that the managers are not just useless here, but also greedy and unfair. They promised a partial refund for my discomfort, however I've been waiting for 2 months now, and nothing happened. Any attempt to communicate with the property is simply ignored. Maybe this review will help me to get a reply, full story below. Me and my wife booked a Deluxe double room with a bath tub for 4 nights in June 2025. When we arrived we noticed there is no door to the toilet. Apparently, it is an unaffordable luxury to install a door to the toilet in a room that costs over 200 eur per night. I don't know if that's a common thing for some people to take a dump without a door, but I would prefer some privacy here, especially on a romantic weekend with my wife. From the room pictures it's not possible to see that there is no door. When we asked the manager to move us to another room, they said they are fully booked. After we said that we'll not stay in our room at any condition, they found one free room, which is much smaller, has no bathtub and not enough space even for our luggage. The manager proposed that we stay there for one night, and on the next day we can move into another room - with bathtub AND a door to the toilet. In return they promised to refund the price difference for 1 night (60-70eur). We agreed, and after couple of days I asked about the refund again, just to be sure. The person on the reception confirmed that we'll get the refund, but only after we move out. My assumption was that the management would care about the reputation of the hotel and return the money, but I was wrong. It's been 2 months now, I didn't receive any refund and the hotel just went silent. None of my messages got any reply.

Verified reviewThe room was very tidy and comfortable. There was a small fridge with courtesy water bottles as well as a coffee machine, both of which were very convenient. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and other commodities were also provided! The location is very close to Il Duomo and Via Torino. We were able to leave our suitcase after check-out so we could enjoy the rest of the morning before leaving the city - it is important to ask about this at the moment of check-in as there is no 24h reception.
As mentioned, there is no 24h reception despite being stated in their Booking profile.

This is a small clean room in a residencial building that seems converted for rooms. It will work so long as you don’t plan on spending much time in the room. Walls are thin. Open shower. No place to sit except the bed. If you just need a crash pad it will work fine.

The girl at the reception was very nice and helpful. They offered us free water and coffee in the room. The location was excellent if you want to stay in the center.

That there was so many ants on the floor, I’m not sure if the floor was cleaned properly before we checked in because when I wore the slippers given b by the hotel it also felt sticky. Also a lot of construction so we missed our way trying to figure out how to get to reception
