How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We loved the hotel and room. However we cannot recommend this bed and breakfast enough because of the owner. He was so helpful and responsive with everything it made our trip so much easier. The service we recieved here was outstanding.

It’s not that we didn’t like it, but the breakfast had very limited options and the service was quite slow.
Everything was top-notch – the location, cleanliness, and the service from the owners.

We used Waze to find the property and it wanted to take us into the Port which obviously was not correct so we used Google Maps which took as straight there. There is a small square in front of the property where parking in the white lines is free but beware if you need to use your car as the locals double park and you will not get out until they leave for lunch. There is, however, easy parking on the road for 1€ an hour 8.30 to 20.30.
Conveniently situated for car parking and unloading and for access to the Old Town. The cafe for breakfast, a continental breakfast, was a short walk around the corner and the waiter (possibly the owner?) was very friendly. Access to the accommodation was very well thought out and the staff, on the internet, were very helpful and available. They sent a video in advance to show how the property is accessed which we found to be very helpful. The accommodation had all that was required.

The road next to the apartment is quite noisy but with the windows closed it is absolutely fine.
Very nice and clean apartment with great staff. Breakfast is nearby at a lovely coffee shop. Easy to reach main attractions and old town.

Great cute decor, cozy feel, contactless check in/out, good continental breakfast from the cafe 1 min walk away, good location in the old town, friendly staff. My wife got slightly sick the night before we had to checkout and Chiara let us check out a little later so she could rest. 10/10 would go back!

Nothing all first class.
Residence was exactly as described. On edge of old town with open sea view. Comfortable sleeping and delightful bathroom with lovely toiletries. Well looked after. Breakfast was 2 mins away and perfectly adequate, again lovely staff. We needed help with address for taxi to airport but staff booked for us and he turned up on time. Just made our trip such a great one. We even as older folk managed with the entry system 😃

No wash cloth, lol....hand towels, bath towels, but no wash cloth, just a thought.

The bed was quite rocky and squeaky when making even the smallest of movements.
We liked the fact that the room was cleaned and restocked with tea, water etc everyday. We also liked the location of the place and the free breakfast from the local cafe every morning. The place is a great spot to explore Bari from as it is in the old town and very close to all the main sights like St Nicholas Church and more.
