How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous staff. Early check-in and late check-out were easy to arrange. The hotel was very clean, with clean and well-equipped rooms. There's an elevator and air conditioning. The location is ideal for exploring Taormina, just a few meters from the main street.

There were many stairs on the way to the hotel

I had a wonderful stay here! The location is perfect, very close to everything in Taormina. The room was spacious and very comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The owner was extremely kind and attentive, giving us great tips about the city that made our experience unforgettable. I truly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

There was a sewage stench coming out of the A/C. Each time we started the A/C the room smelled of sewage.

Alex was very helpful and accommodating which added immensely to the quality of our stay. Also his recommendations for places to have a pre dinner cocktails, dinner and breakfast were spot on.

Excellent location - but be prepared to go up and down stairs to access the location! You are in Taormina after all! Very close to the centre of Taormina and also to a great pick up/drop off spot for taxis/car services, very reasonably priced. The hotel has a lift which makes getting suitcases up and down to and from your room very easy. Alex is amazing and so accommodating, ask him anything! Take advantage of the beach club deal - gorgeous spot! Thanks Alex!

We loved our stay here! The hotel is very centrally located, just a short walk of a few minutes to the main road and sites. Check in was very easy and instructions were very clear. Communications with the hotel was very easy and timely as well. We booked 2 rooms with terrace and balcony on the top floor. The view is phenomenal! The rooms and balconies were very spacious, plenty of seating on the balconies to relax and enjoy. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, showers and bathrooms comfortable to use. They gave us complimentary waters on arrival which was so appreciated on a hot June day. Keep in mind the hotel is down some stairs between 2 main (flat) roads, so you'll need to negotiate your luggage up and down those steps. Once inside, there is an elevator. We HIGHLY recommend staying here! Would definitely stay here again!

The room was a bit dim for getting ready with little lighting. The little light for the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work.
Excellent location, being right in the centre of Taormina. However, despite this, inside the room was lovely and quiet. Also, Alessandro, the host, was extremely welcoming and helpful.

The balcony was only big enough for 1 person , it was tiny and not what we expected, it had no function at all.

A breakfast offering would be a nice addition to this hotel. Artwork and soft furnishings are a bit old fashioned in otherwise modern rooms. Toilet too close to wall and toilet roll holder made using the toilet an uncomfortable experience.

The bed was not very comfortable.
Alex was wonderful and made our stay so nice. We loved this small family run hotel, great location super friendly and helpful reception. Loved the funky 70's vibe and appreciated the elevator! Loved the huge terrace looking over the city to the sea.

Location was perfect and the room was tidy and cozy. The room looked even better in real-life than in the pictures. The host was friendly and helpful and everything worked easily. Air-condition was simple to use and check-in was easy.
