Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceYou can hear everything from the rooms next door. There is not always anyone at the reception and you may have to wait if you arrive at a time when no one is there.

AzerbaijanThey store luggage from morning to evening. But they don't store it even if you go to another city and stay at that hotel again. There are some hotels in Rome that store luggage even if you don't stay at that hotel again during your trip. Experience speaks for itself. In this regard, I wouldn't recommend the Lazzari Hotel to friends.
The hotel is well located. It's a 10 minute walk to Termini. The room is about right for the price. They give you a kettle if you ask for it. I paid an extra 10 euros because I was arriving late in the evening and they checked me in.

United KingdomShower wasn't great, strange to have blankets and not a Duvet. Reception didn't seem to have a Receptionist a lot of the time, in fact calling it a Hotel is a bit of a push really. More like renting a room...
Plus points. Great location, close to Termini for trains, buses and taxis. Loads of bars, cafes and restaurants close by. Atmospheric old part of town. Hotel and room had a real quaint charm. Very clean room.

IrelandShower was very small. Asked for double bed, got two singles pushed together and they didn't stay together. I woke up in the gap between :)
Good location, only short walk from the Termini train station. Lot of restaurants near by. Room was clean and we had a nice roof terrace. Very basic room, but not expensive.

United KingdomBathroom was tiny but my friend's bathroom was large and spacious. We arrived at 7 minutes past midnight and they charged 10 euro per room as a late check in fee so be mindful of this charge. There is an old fashioned lift and the door must be closed for it to work and on the morning we checked out a female worker was very rude and accused us of leaving the door open - which we did not so she should think carefully before she speaks to customers as it left an unpleasant vibe about wanting to stay again.
Clean and simple accommodation. A nice walk to spanish steps around 25 mins.

AustraliaIt was a far walk to all other places in Rome, but Rome is a big city so it wasn't too bad. There were never staff avaliable (outside of checkin) to ask questions to. The lift was very small and hard to take luggage up.
It was a close walk from the train station, the bed was comfortable and it was afforable

DenmarkI think its a good place to stay and I would generally recommend it. But the rails which hold the shower curtains were poorly installed with old metal wires and unprofessionally fixed, so that an enitre metal panel fell off the ceiling when i simply moved the curtain. I reported it to the hotel staff but they just said 'ok' we look into it and no special handling or customer care..
Its generally a clean and practical hotel and perfect for a short stay. I liked that the windows where solid and locked well, there are extra window doors to close down entirely, which can be very useful to shield off heat of the day from outside.

CanadaThe air conditioning struggled a bit in the heat. The bathroom facilities were adequate but a bit cramped for bigger sized humans. The hotel is on the second floor but the building has a very old elevator. It might be a bit of a struggle to get up there with larger luggage.
The rates were very affordable and the location was very close to the Train station. It was convenient for a short stay. The hotel staff was nice and helpful.
