Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBreakfast was OK. Coffee machine wasn't working and needed more choice.
This is a nice hotel. We wanted to stay near Rome Termini as we had an early train the following morning, so this worked well for us. We were greeted with a bottle of prosecco which was a very nice touch. The room was great and we had a fantastic terrace overlooking the square. The district was fun and very lively.

PolandI would appreciate tea/coffee amenities in the room or in the corridor i.e. electric kettle, cups, tea/coffee, sugar. Also it would be great to have possibility to buy cold drinks (water, cola, beer) on site (at the reception or from the vending machine)
Localization quite ok. Quiet at night. Walking distance to trains, busts ant metro. Breakfast ok. Only not all products were available at 9 o'clock. Helpful staff. Room cleaned every day.

United KingdomThe beds and cushions were quite hard. The shower cubicle was very small to get in and out. The shower door was slightly loose and coming off. It was smaller than expected and further away from the sights than we thought.
It was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Taxis readily available to take us where we wanted to go. A lovely restaurant just outside the property with delicious food. Bustling young neighbourhood with bars and restaurants.

United KingdomPlain croissants would have been good. We didn’t like the sauce / jam that was added to the croissants. Also some warm / hot eggs would have been good. Otherwise it was nice.
Breakfast was good. Family room was excellent, big and perfect for the 4 of us. It was cleaned with fresh towels each day. Location was good too, we were able to walk or tube to all the sites. Reception staff were lovely, very helpful and cheerful.

United KingdomRoom was a little warm because windows couldn’t open at night due to outside noise and the fridge didn’t work but didn’t affect our stay Coffee making facilities would have been nice or an iron in the room too
The property was easily located near bus and tram stops and waking distance from termini stations (15 minutes) property is spacious and clean with a lift and bar with breakfast room and lovely quiet sitting area The property is located in the student university district with lovely restaurants and eating areas with bars a plenty the vibe is busy outside the property and can be noisy at night time some little supermarkets along the road the room was a twin room which was warm due to the aircon law not being on in April but having the window open during the day cooled it down. Bathroom was great with toiletries restocked salt and fresh towels too. Room was cleaned daily

United StatesThe very active nightlife was evident when we opened our window for air. We were told there is no a/c before May 15.
Cosmo at the front desk was a wealth of information. The location was great. We were thrown by all the graffiti, but it's actually a nice area.

SloveniaDuring our stay, suspicious people gathered in the immediate vicinity of the hotel in the evening and at night, disturbing the peace of the night by shouting loudly and breaking bottles. I would not feel safe outside at night.
The hotel is close to the main station, it is nice and clean. The breakfast is satisfactory, there could be more choice. The staff is friendly and helpful.

LithuaniaThe location as we were with 3 kids. For a family of four it would be different. It’s situated 15-20 min walk to a metro, regardless which metro station. Due to the size of our family a regular taxi would not take us and the walk to/from Termin station or V. Emanuele metro station is not the nicest one. So taking uber van was significantly more expensive vs regular car.

United StatesParking can be a challenge and can’t drive into the area after 11 pm on some nights. It is a college town so people out until 3 am on the weekends - may be an issue for light sleepers.
Great location- less than 1.5 - 2 miles to Colosseum. Staff was amazing! Very helpful. Good breakfast buffet in the morning.

I stayed here 2 years ago and liked the hotel but the rooms at that time were a bit tired .Howerver the hotel has recently been completley refurbished and is now very stylish our room was clean comfortable and modern.Staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was lovely very comfortable, with a large selection of continental breakfast fresh pastries and cakes toast, cereals, ham and cheese with the added service of real coffee and cappuccinos from the bar in the breakfast area.San Lorenzo is also well connected to the centre by bus or taxi, it's a nice busy student area, with restaurants and small shops all 5 mins away from the hotel. We will definitely book again next time we visit Rome.

Costa RicaThis place is really great if you plan to stay several days in Rome. The breakfast is very good and the staff is always really helpful and patient with your requests and assistance for guidance about the hotel and the city (specially Leandro, he was very kind and helpful). Also, you will find several good restaurants near the hotel so that was very convenient for us. Finally, the main train station is a ten mi Ute walk from the place, also a plus for your trip to Rome.
