The road to reach it is not for the faint-hearted! (though actually I quite liked that too - makes it feel like you've earned a rest after arriving)

Beautiful valley/hillside location, wonderful terrace and well-kept garden areas to sit (and cook) outside listening to the daytime sounds (crickets) give way to the sounds of the evening (birds) then the night (frogs and wild boar).

Although not a problem for us the road in has some tight corners and steeper sections. It would be difficult with a larger camper for example

Set in the hills maybe ¼ drive out of Apricale. Lovely setting amongst Olive groves. The hosts are excellent and met us on arrival. They re-built an old house. The accommodation is spacious, very well equipped and comfortable. Has out door areas with a barbecue. We were mountain biking and its a good location for this. Nice villages within biking distance.

People should know the road to the property is very narrow and curvy. We have driven on many narrow European mountain roads, but this was new territory. However, we did it at night for our first time, not knowing what to expect, and although it was a little scary it still worked out fine. One has to be comfortable with backing up to a pull-off area to accommodate oncoming traffic as need be.

We truly recommend it. The house is beautiful, and more than adequate. It had everything we needed. The silence at night is truly incredible, as is the night sky. Our hosts were lovely people and were very generous and hospitable.
