Our host, Eustachio, warmly welcomed us on arrival, making sure our car was securely parked and giving us a tour of the beautifully renovated home. Modern and tastefully decorated, it was perfect for our group of 4. The table was set for us with a choice of amazing fresh pastries and quiches from the local bakery, such a treat as we had travelled all day to Matera! Perfectly located with views across the valley and a short walk to the Sassi and local restaurants. Eustachio gave us a list of his favourite eating places, we tried 2 of them and both amazing! Highly recommended!

It is very hard not to repeat what all the previous guests have written! We stayed 20th July 2025 Eustacio and Benedetta were fabulous hosts with a beautiful home in an amazing location for us to stay in. As we struggled a bit to find the location, Eustacio came on his moped to guide us to the private locked garage where we left our car. The home is so beautifully renovated and has plenty of space. The hosts left us a lovely selection of fruit, filled rolls, pastries, toasts, jams, milk and many coffee pods. Quality bed linen and fluffy towels. 10 mins walk to Sassi. Many restaurants. Stunning views of a beautiful old town with so much history. Would 100% recommend to anyone considering staying as you will not be disappointed. We would love to visit again one day and stay for longer! Many thanks.

The breakfast was fantastic. A variety of pastries The place was super clean. Thanks Eustachio and Benedetta. They were amazing, helped us arrange transportation, we arrived very late due to our missed flight connection & they were there to welcome us, very humble & accommodating. The place felt very comfortable & homey, there was a special feeling there. A lot of love & care went into this very special place & was kept in the family. Actually preferred its location compared to other places, very convenient. I slept with the door open to the outside to hear the river below, so peaceful. I would come back here in a heartbeat. The pictures of the unit are great & are even better in real life

Everything about this property and the hosts Bernadetta and Eustachio are beyond exceptional 👏 👌and very helpful at all times. Eustachio and Bernedetta are amazing beautiful people, they provided beautiful pastries, croissants filled with amazing fillings, bread, juices, butter, jams, ham, milk and a magnificent bowl of fresh fruits. The house is absolutely amazing and beautiful and super super super clean, has amazing views of the canyon, and amazing views walking into the old town, which is on the door step. Stay at this property folks !! you will love it Thankyou so very much Eustachio and Bernedetta ❤️💙 We felt so welcome 🙏

There is nothing to not like .

The property is situated in a ideal location to see the local town. It is a beautiful modern apartment in great condition! We had the whole apartment to ourselves which was wonderful Eustachio and Benedetta were simply superb, they provided tasty fresh breakfast each morning and made us feel at home. They were very attentive to our needs.

The apartment was very modern, with excellent amenities including a very generous breakfast. Great location for sightseeing.

Great welcome by Eustachio and his wife. They gave us the complete tour of the very spacious house. Magnificent 3-bedroom property, brilliantly renovated, nice materials, very clean. Great view on the valley below. Close to the historical city centre and Sassi. Private parking close by, nice cool inside, even with 38 degrees outside. Great croissants from a local bakery! We got nice birthday wishes afterwards ;-)

Immaculate accommodation, great location overlooking the valley, welcoming and hospitable host who supplied a beautiful spread of local food for breakfast and gave good recommendations for restaurants.

The property is beautiful, feels brand new renovated. With a great location you can walk to all the key places in Matera. The hosts are lovely people, very accomodating. It has a private garage 100m away, which is also a great feature.

We liked absolutely everything. Given my dad works at hotels, he mentioned 3 extra features which would make it even more premium: a washing machine, a hand rail inside the shower and a safety box.

The house is a dream , the love and detail that has gone into it is amazing. Eustachio is a fabulous host went above and beyond. Fabulous breakfast every morning and found a lovely selection of fruit when we arrived, the fridge was also stocked with water , milk and iced tea. Everything in the house is thought through to give its guests a fabulous stay . Bath towels are lovely and big and very very soft. There is nothing to fault at this property it is a little gem with five star facilities. I would highly recommend it . There is a coffee and tea maker and the kitchen is very well equipped so you can enjoy a family dinner if you want. Views of the Murgia are amazing. The location is 10 out of 10 2 mins walk and you are in the heart of the sassi. Eustachio also provides private parking in a garage , which also shows his love of detail and the great care he has taken into renovating and building this amazing house. Without doubt the most beautiful property I have ever stayed in.

Great location for exploring Matera , fantastic view, an amazing apartment based around an old traditional house . The hosts were so welcoming, helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as good as possible .

The hosts were excellent with communication. They had food & water at the home for us. Home had everything we needed. Great location!!! Comfort of everything was exceptional!!

The location and the view was spectacular. The host was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and a city tour. He also organised a transfer to Napoli airport for us.

Lamia Matera was the most perfect apartment. From the moment we were greeted and stepping into the apartment we felt at home. This apartment was even more beautiful than the images and we had everything we needed for a wonderfully comfortable stay. The location is perfect to access the Sassi and is quiet and secluded. The view from the apartment bedrooms was something that needs to be experienced as you cannot put into words how breathtaking it is. Thank you to the wonderful hosts for making us feel at home. We only wished we stayed longer!

The hosts had lovely breakfast boxes with croissants and fruit and other great options. Everything was organized lovely decor, homey and welcoming. The Hosts were fabulous. very clean and obviously a loved property.

Wonderful apartment finished and furnished to a high standard in a fabulous location with a great view. Hosts were friendly and extremely helpful in securing parking and communication was excellent. We loved the large selection of good quality food and drink provided.

Impeccably clean. Very comfortable beds. New linen and towels. Beautiful view and perfect location - quiet but very close to the Sassi. Hosts were very kind and gave lots of recommendations. Very nice place to stay in Matera.

Just a little suggestion. If you were to leave some Matera bread and fewer filled croissants, it would last longer, and maybe less food would be waisted.

Location-perfect and can walk to all the spots Parking-We have two cars and host manage to provide 2 parking slot for us, 10 euro per night which is very good. The parking location is just 2-3 mins walk to the property and it’s not a problem with our luggage. Breakfast-We book 3 nights and host provide some breads, jam, hams and cheese etc for us in the first days, very good and we love it! House- very modern, clean and pretty!!! I love the view of the tub! And the air con is warm which is very important to us cuz early April is pretty cold to us. Host- they are very friendly and nice!!! They make us feel like at home. Also they provide a list of restaurant that they recommend!
