The trash in the bathroom smelled like an ashtray but I didn’t say anything. I’m sure they would have rectified if I had. Limited outlets for charging but otherwise perfect little spot and good for couples too.

Perfect central location within the city walls. Instructions were clear to enter. It was a good size and there’s a shared patio and then a door in the 2nd bedroom to a small private balcony which I loved. It’s quiet. Well equipped, comfortable beds.

Only the door handler to the small balcony in the small sleeping room needs to be properly fixed. But it was possible to close this door still with the lock.

After entering the apartment we entered a very nice atmosphere of arts and history of a renewed old house with so much of creativity put into the design of a wonderful and unique place to stay. The rooms were beautiful, especially the bigger room, the entrance with the small kitchen hidden in a wardrobe, with everything you need for cooking (although, in Lucca I would recommend to go outside and enjoy the restaurants and tavernas). I liked very much the design details worked out with perfectness, and the combination of these into a such nice place to stay. I would like to stay again and spend more nights, because we booked the apartment just as an intermediate break for only one night when traveling back from Corsica to Austria, and so this historical place deserves much more attention.

Of course, an elevator would be nice, but I certainly understand why there’s not one. It was something that I expected so it did not give me a negative opinion of the place.

The stairs to the first floor were very steep so not so good for people who do not walk so well.

Location was perfect in centre of old town. Easy to walk to most places. The little outside areas were a lovely place to sit and relax. Great facilities, everything you need.

Very comfortable apartment for a family of 4 (even bigger if needed), super clean, charming interiors with atmosphere. We felt very comfortable there and will definitely return. Very good contact with the host.

The stairs in the entry were steep. The kitchen could have been a bit better equipped. There was a power cut while we were there in the dark, and though it probably wasn't solvable quickly, , it would have been good to have someone call in and let us know.

The apartment had lots of character and it was great to be right in the centre watching the world go by.

Second floor room up very steep stairs. Difficult to negotiate with luggage. There is a kettle, but no cups for hot beverages.

Incredible accommodation, well located in beautiful Lucca. The apartment is in an old historic building with stunning period features yet with all the mod cons you need. The hosts are the most amazing and generous people who assisted us greatly and provided advice to make our trip one we will never forget. Even connecting us to a driver at very short notice to visit a small village in the nearby mountains. They certainly go over and above anything I have ever experienced. Bellissimo and Grazie Mille
