How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe view was nice!
The host is not fair with the guests, no communication, no real information abou the location of the accomodation. We couldnt get there by car, the way from we left the car untill the apartment is horrible, dirty and extremely hard for a man of 75 years old to get. I have asked the host, Vizia, the refund, because it was imposible to stay there with no acces to anything. We left to Como to find another accomodation and it took us more than 4 hours to drive those 8-9 km. This appartment is way to over evaluated. And the host atitude was the worst. I hope at list she will refund me the money for those 2 nights.
Even if you decided not to stay I thank you for appreciating the beautiful view from the terrace; but at the same time I am deeply angry for your final judgment only because you did not get a refund. As you can read in the other reviews the apartment is loved by everyone both for its cleanliness and for the taste in the furnishings. The mistake was yours by not reading carefully that it is not suitable for elderly people. Like all the villages of Lake you have to enter the village on foot (like in the beautiful Bellagio). You should have chosen for your parents a ground floor apartment in the center of Como .... I have another house with these characteristics. Please be more careful when booking to avoid damaging just for a whim the work of people who put love and passion.

Verified reviewThe apartment was very well equipped and clean. The view was very nice..
First of all It was difficult finding the apartment and we needed assistance from a local who contacted the owner and helped us. Parking the car was also difficult and inconvenient because you had to walk up many stairs or uphill with a suitcase.

Verified reviewThe apartment is in the historic (foot access only) part of Blevio and offers stunning views of the lake. The terrace was a great place to chill at any time of the day. We were fortunate to have the perfect view of the fireworks on the opposite shore for two consecutive nights. The bed was comfortable. During our time there, we enjoyed hiking in the mountains above Blevio and rented a boat from Como Lake Artists, also conveniently located in Blevio. On our last day, we discovered that Strada Regia path (not clearly marked on Google Maps) runs through Blevio above the road, and provides an enjoyable (and much safer) option to get to the ferry or a shop. The host was exceptionally helpful, providing clear instructions and assisting us in arranging a taxi back to Como.
If you travel with heavy suitcases, the footpaths and stairs of historic Blevio may test your strength.

Verified reviewLovely apartment with a fantastic view of Como. Quite spacious and the host left wine and beer to purchase if required. We didn't get good weather but would be amazing to be on the balcony on a warm sunny day. Comfy bed to share with my daughter.
Don't drive up the hill more than 3rd hairpin in anything larger than a Fiat 126. You may struggle to turn around.

You can cook at apartment and have breakfast with amazing view. They have a garage, but we preferred to park car at parking down as came almost at the midnight.

Verified reviewThe view was fantastic.
The knives could be sharper, we cooked a lot, that's the only real complain we can bring up. Be advised to take a small car, the streets are quite hard to drive through, as we visited a wedding and had our 'big and fancy' car. This is no critique, we just want thise mentioned for future visitors.

Hard to go with a car. There is a garage but you can’t go after it with luggage, because you should go 10-15 min to the top, where apartment is located. Very hard with a baby.

Verified reviewNice view. Small modern apartment, where you find everything you need.
The parking space (garage) is down by the street. It was not a problem for us, however if you a limit let’s mobility it could be a problem with steep road and also stairs.

Verified reviewThis was our second stay at La Terrazza apartment in twelve months, and we enjoyed it even more than the first! I genuinely believe the view from the terrace is amongst the best you'll get anywhere of the lake, and relaxing on the sun-soaked patio with a glass in vino in hand makes me feel like a Bond Girl! We'll definitely be back again. This is a comfortable, luxurious, well-appointed accommodation option that feels much more authentic than staying in a hotel. Has what you need to whip up some tasty meals in the kitchen, and very good overall facilities with everything thought of. Vizia is an A+ host - on-hand if anything is needed, great communication and always happy to share helpful information. Self check-in procedure was also really easy. Special mention for the super comfortable bed and pillows too - I slept like a baby for our entire stay.
There's nothing I don't like about this place. However, it's worth mentioning that those with mobility issues may struggle with access to the apartment, which has two steep flights of stairs to get in, as well as cobblestones etc (hey, this is Italy!) The location is also up a steep hill so if you're on foot (as we were) then you'll be in for a fair climb home at the end of the day. This isn't an issue if you're in a car however, and anyway the views make the hike totally worth it!
