How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The owner is an amazingly friendly, charming, and charismatic lady who is very helpful with suggestions, guidance, tips. The home is redone and extremely clean. Our 1 bedroom was spotless and very comfortable. The house has a rooftop terrace with a quiet, calm and charming rustic Italian view.

It's impossible to fault anything about this accommodation, location, host, price, etc. If you need a place to stay in Agrigento City this is probably the best.
Best accommodation I have come across on my 11 week vacation. If you can find a place better than this one then I think its rare.

Marina is just about the warmest person you’ll ever meet! So kind and welcoming for our quick stay! Lovely room, large bathroom, and so very clean! It’s also in an excellent location!

That we weren't staying longer than 3 nights!
What a delight to stay here. Marina is a friendly welcoming host with a big beautiful smile! Location was perfect. Residence is situated in small lane off main walking street and close to train station and bus terminal and a large supermarket Conad. The bedroom was spacious and the part we really loved and appreciated use of was the outdoor terrace and kitchenette on the upper level. Marina generously provides coffee, teas, bottled water, yoghurts and biscuits for her guests. There are stairs to climb to the upper level but that is good practice for getting around Agrigento which has stairs everywhere.

Nothing. It was perfect.
Excellent location, central but quiet. Clean, modern room and lovely roof terrace with an unlimited selection of drinks, yoghurt and pastries. Marina is the perfect host, helped us with ideas and solutions. Treated us like family, always super friendly and brought us delicious local pastries.

We only stayed for 1 night in Marina’s apartment, but wished we had stayed for longer. The apartment is very clean, well situated in a city center with all amenities and a very cozy balcony. Marina is an amazing host, she even went to the parking lot to help us park ( there are specific rules and a place where to park) and made sure to provide any recommendations and help as needed. Her energy and smile made our day. I would definitely recommend this apartment, you won’t be disappointed!

I was mistaken and thought it was an apartment with a kitchen. It has a communal kitchen with yogurt and water. The beautiful five burner stove is not connected so you cannot cook. Still a great place to stay.
The location was wonderful. Close to the train station and next to a lovely shopping street. Wonderful places to eat nearby. The bed was comfortable and Caroline was super helpful. Wonderful to have the room cleaned daily.

Just the water in the shower was not very easy to control. It would be too hard on our skin or if we put less water not to hurt the temperature would vary. This can be very easily fixed with a new shower head probably. We didn't ask for it because we only stayed 2 nights.
The host is very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The kitchen and the balcony are a plus. The location is very central. You cannot take the car because it's a limited zone, but there's safe parking lots very close by.

Marina was absolutely delightful. She went out of her way to be there when we arrived although we were very early & gave us full info on getting around town, restaurants & Valley of the Temples. Room was clean, comfortable & in a central location. Yogurt & coffees on the upstairs terrace were an unexpected bonus.

Marina is an outstanding, gracious host. She met us at noon, and we were able to move right into our room. She helped us organize our three days in Agrigento, with advice on using the bus systems for the Valley of the Temples, the Scala di Turchi, and our onward journey to Piazza Armerina. She had restaurant recommendations and made a reservation for us at another place. And she provides coffee and yogurt so guests can breakfast (or snack) on their own timetable. Everything was scrupulously clean, with nice design touches throughout. The roof-terrace doesn’t have much of a view, but it’s a pleasant outdoor space nonetheless. And the location of the B&B is splendid: on a side alley off the main street (minimal stairs into the building) just 5 minutes from the train station, the PO ATM, and close to everything a tourist needs and wants. Really ideal!
