Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalThe communication with the host was basically absent. I sent several messages that were left unanswered and that could have helped us get to the apartment faster, since the street was closed for cars and we didn't know where to park. Parking is extremelly difficult in the region (even though if you cross the river you find free parking, something that the host could have informed us). In the room there was not even soap or a bottle of water (a courtesy I found in all the other B&B in Sardinia). The host only cared to send me a message late after check-out to ask for the taxes (which weren't asked in any other B&B I stayed in during a week, but that I would have gladly payed if s/he had cared to show up to receive it or at least answer my messages).
The room is nice and located in a beautiful street in the historical part of Bosa. Perfect to walk around the city.

AustraliaDouble bed was a bit small and it could do with a few more pillows. Water took a long time to warm up for the shower.
Close to the historic centre of Bosa. The room was quite spacious given the size of the property. The room has been created to blend well with the historica and contmporary.

United KingdomMany steep stairs to access. Low ceilings/doorways that were easy to bang your head on. Very hot on the 4th floor. Mog in fact a guest house but converted house.
Great location.

United KingdomWe didn’t receive any information about how to access the property before we arrived and when we arrived got no response from the host for nearly an hour and had to wait at a local cafe for them to contact us which was disappointing as we were only there one night.
Very clean and central for walking around Bosa and on a beautiful street. Lots of restaurants and bars and cafes nearby.

SpainThe WiFi is very weak in this room. The room is on the 4th floor. The stairs are steep and the arches in the ceiling very low. Around 1.6 m. If you are tall, elderly or immobile this may be very uncomfortable for you. The bathroom in the room is also very low. Around 1.6 m as well.
We had a room with a lovely terrace on the top floor which had great views of the city. The room is modern having been renovated recently. The air conditioning works well.

ThailandThe service level could be much better. Shower gel was never updated, water was never replaced. No basics such as a water kettle to make a cup of tea. No option to have towels replaced
In the heart of the old town, which is a maze of narrow streets. Very authentic and beautiful.

AustraliaSpace was quite small with extra bed, not really any electrical outlets able to be used without unplugging things. Old town not accessible by car, which was not mentioned in instructions or during communications. Was not able to use supplied kettle as it did not work.
Cute interior with the domed stonework ceilings & in central 'old town' area with lots of character. Everything was just a short walk away.

ItalyThere was no free Wifi. The room was smaller than expected. There weren't any mosquito nets so, when we opened the windows, a lot of flies and mosquitoes came in. In the bathroom there were some thin hair strands and a bit of soap next to the basin when we arrived. Only shower towels were provided, but not bidè towels. In the bathroom, the ceiling was so low that my partner could not walk without bending. To reach the room we had to climb an extremely narrow and steep staircase (I have bad knees so I wouldn't have chosen this accommodation if I had known). The bed sides were too close to the wall, there was just enough room to pass. No shampoo or shower gels were provided. Finding parking close to the accommodation has been a real challenge.
Perfect location, basically in the very heart of Bosa. The room has a view and from the balcony you can see the other rooftops. The check-in instructions were easy to follow. The host kindly suggested a place nearby to go to have breakfast at. Furniture was new and clean. The room was overall cosy.

NetherlandsThe room was described as one with a balcony. This was misleading. From the heavily edited photos we suspected there might not be a lot of light, so at least the full hight windows would bring more sun. The host still insisted to us there is a balcony, but as you can see on the photo there is nothing on the 1st floor. Maybe this is just the issue on the 1st floor, but due to the really nice photos the room was a bit underwhelming. The bulb light is very harsh like hospital lighting so you don't want to put it on, this would be an easy thing to change. In the end it was okay that the room was dark because it was colder, but I wish we knew how it looks in reality beforehand. All the other things were okay!
The location is great, right in center of Bosa, in a nice historic part and cute street. The windows are good quality so inside the room is quiet. The host was great, very helpful and available, proposed cleaning if needed, really nice! Overall we had a good stay here.

United StatesEverything was perfect!
The place is huge with several suites. My suite was big and spacious with everything you need, including toiletries, snacks, and water. The guesthouse is super close to the main square of the historic center where you can find many different restaurants and gelaterias. Giuseppina is a great hostess and will give you so many tips about where to go/visit. Great person to talk to and communication was so easy. Breakfast is heavenly. Giuseppina makes sure to give you plenty of options to choose: cakes, bread, fruit, juices, coffee, scrambled eggs, and even traditional Sardinian snacks. She was the best. If not in front of the guesthouse, parking spaces can be found in the adjacent streets. Mind that this is the historic center, so the streets are very narrow. I had a GREAT STAY and can’t wait to come back!
