Everything was perfect for our stay.

Gorgeous Boutique B&B just around the corner from the Piazza, and a good selection of restaurants. A short walk to a small beach where we swam every day. Beautifully furnished room with a small balcony and excellent aircon. Very comfortable bed and linens. The lovely housekeeper Anita who served us coffee on the main balcony in the mornings, and the buffet breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and hopefully will return.

Absolutely everything -our host and his lovely housekeeper who served a lovely breakfast on the balcony; the fresh towels and room made up each of the five nights we stayed; beautiful room with excellent shower and facilities - all impeccable. Our recent trip to Syracuse, Sicily was genuinely fantastic, and we really can't recommend this place enough! Right away, we were super impressed with how spotlessly clean everything was – it just makes such a difference for a comfortable stay. And the location? Absolutely perfect! We were right in the heart of the old town on Ortygia island, just next to the beautiful Fountain of Diana. This meant we could easily stroll along the winding old streets, soaking up the incredible Old Town atmosphere and getting to all the best spots. Plus, those delicious breakfasts they served up each morning were such a treat and got our days off to a great start. But honestly, the highlight was definitely our host, Alberto. He was incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to give us brilliant tips for must-see places, along with some truly excellent restaurant and bar recommendations. His local knowledge really made our trip so much richer – in fact, Alberto's recommendations were so useful that we tried almost everything he suggested! All in all, we had a wonderful time and would happily go back to this accommodation on our next visit to Syracuse!

There was no lift. It wasn't a problem for us but could be a problem for the more infirmed.

For the centre of Otegia the location of the Residenz was fantastic. Straight out of the door into the middle of the ancient town. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a little terrace overlooking a small courtyard. Breakfast was simple but the coffee was excellent. There was a lovely area to sit and read.

Everything was great.

It was lovely. Really nice accommodations in a great area. Alberto made lots of very helpful recommendations for us for places to visit and eat or have a cocktail and watch the sunset. It was a perfect place for my daughter and I to enjoy Syracuse.

Don’t go there with your car, it is inpossible to park there, put it on a public parking outside Ortigia, and walk in.

The breakfast could have been a little more varied. The choice of bread was not great. Would have liked French rolls for the cheese and salami.

The wifi didn't reach my room. It was a working holiday for me and I had to go to the main room to use my computer which was frustrating. And I wish we were able to make coffee after the breakfast hour.

The location is perfect. And the shower/amenities were wonderful. The bed was very comfortable.

This is a very attractive place to stay. We liked the ambience, the style of the interior and breakfast on the balcony in the morning sun. The location is excellent for city sightseeing. The steep stairs to the property could be difficult for some.

Perfect location in the hearth of Ortigia! The facility is very well maintained and it is a very cozy place to stay. The host Alberto is very kind and always on response via whatsapp and calls.

The property is exceptional and Alberto is so hospitable welcoming you into his home and also his home town of Ortigia. Every part of La Residenza has his own personal touch and every day Alberto will bake a sweet delicacy for you to try for breakfast. His is extreme knowledgeable and proud of his town and is happy to answer any questions and recommend places to go and see. The location is central and perfect within walking distance of everything. The rooms are clean, spacious and so comfortable. You even have your own little terrazza and great natural light. Anita the housekeeper is so sweet and lovely. From the moment you walk into La Residenza it feels like home, which is exactly the ambience Alberto wants you to feel. If you need a taxi to the airport Alberto can refer you to one. My stay here was nothing but exceptional and I look forward to returning. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Ortigia. Grazie Mille Alberto e Anita per la vostra ospitalità.
