There was a walk into the centre off Varenna which wasn’t a problem for us , we quite enjoyed the walk along the lake , it used to take us around 30 minutes

The property was absolutely beautiful! Kept very clean and had everything we needed. We had very comfortable nights and the view was absolutely gorgeous! The host was 5 star! 100% recommend her and this property!

I mentioned above that the apartment is at the end of the shoreline. That is great if you have a car or love to walk. But, going back and forth into town requires either a long walk or a taxi ride. Once you are at the apartment, it is extremely peaceful.

We fixed our own breakfasts and most dinners in the apartment. The balcony off the bedroom had a magnificent view. We ate our meals there and absorbed the amazing view of the lake. There is a lovely awning that can shade the balcony if desired. The beds were comfortable and the house was well equipped. The stove was tricky for us to use, and the hostess was kind about helping us. (The pot has to be on the burner for it to work.) We also needed help with the dishwasher. Having the host living right next door was very convenient, and she was VERY kind and willing to help. She even drove my computer to me while I was waiting for a train, because I didn't realize that I had left it in the apartment. That was above and beyond kind. Because the apartment is at the end of the road and up the hill, be sure to take a taxi whenever you have your luggage with you. We did walk into town (without luggage) but it took nearly an hour to walk down the hill and along the shore line. The stairways from the shoreline to the upper town square are steep with a lot of rocky steps. Do not try to navigate these stairs with luggage. There is a lovely botanical garden along the shoreline that you can walk through for a small fee. Buy your ticket near the town square and church.

At weekends, Varenna is very crowded and the parking garage close to the centre of the village is full / blocked very soon. A walk from the appartment to the little ferry port takes 30 minutes.

We spent some days in ' Punta di Varenna' appartment and enjoyed it very much. The hosts Viviana and Christian are lovely people and are helpful with information. The appartment has a nice and fully equipped kitchen, 2 beautiful bathrooms and 2 sleeping rooms, perfect for a family with kids A washing machine is also available in a separate utility room. Over all, the stunning view over lake Como from the balcony with a glass of wine was breathtaking. We highly recommend this guest house! Angelika and Volker

Two sets of stairs inside the property may pose issues for anyone with mobility issues but weren't a concern for us. The views from the balcony made up for it!

A couple of kms outside of the heart of Varenna, the property was tranquil and relaxing with stunning views from the balcony overlooking Lake Como. The apartment had everything we needed and was clean and tidy. The bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch and Viviana a wonderful host!

The location is fantastic, very quiet with an amazing view. The property had everything you need for a four night stay. Everything is new and fresh which was lovely and a little unexpected. The host is very responsive and was helpful in recommending restaurants. The short walk into Varenna was easy and picturesque.

Magnificent location and views of the lake. Private balcony overlooking Bellagion, Menagio, Varenna, the Alpine mountain tops. Very quiet and cozy.

The only thing I would say is that the location was a little bit far from the main town. This was not a problem because we knew this when booking and the walk to town was very nice, about 20 minutes! However, it just made it a little harder to get to town and the convenience of restaurants, markets, etc.

Viviana was a great host, we felt so welcome there and she went above and beyond for us. The place was beautiful and cozy with an amazing view we will never forget. It was a quiet neighborhood and very peaceful, we would definitely stay here again, thank you so much Viviana!!

If you drive you must find parking which we were able to do.

Modern and clean. Amazing views of Lake Como from the terrace. The host, Viviana, is very welcoming. 30 minute hike to town which we came to enjoy. There are many trails to do this. Especially liked the one past the cemetery. The shower feels so good after a long day of hiking. Take the ferry to Bellagio and have lunch.

The property has an amazing view, is very spacious and has immaculate cleanliness. The host (Viviana) was extremely helpful helped with any questions and had amazing communication. Located in a very quiet place, for people who want to get away from the city noise.

Bit of walk uphill to get back to the accommodation but mostly we took a taxi back for 15 euros which was fine.
