Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe beach was just ok but that area isn’t known for the beach… the wasps were annoying at meal time. Lots of steps but not terrible.
Breakfast was fine. The location was a little remote for me, I prefer to be walking distance to more restaurants and shops. Loved having bicycles! Staff was excellent!!

United StatesThe only thing I can comment on is the AC in the room. It was quite warm as we were on the upper floor, and the in room AC unit seems old and inefficient. We let the concierge know and they sent someone up to check it, but we ended up sleeping with the windows open for ventilation because it was still too warm.
This was my second stay at La Posta Vecchia and it did not disappoint. Everything was beautiful and we even got a free room upgrade on my birthday which was a delightful surprise! The dinner was beyond and the service is impeccable.

Saudi ArabiaNothing, we would spend more on a sea facing room in the future, but to be honest the Tower Room was just the sense of peace we needed to start our Roman adventure
La Posta Vecchia was the most wonderful surprise, we had booked to stay at another hotel in this group of properties and decided to break up our journey from the airport with a stay at LPV. It was perfect from the welcome to the Tower Room; the team was so welcoming, warm and hospitable… and the cocktails were awesome, shout out to the boys behind the bar. We had some fantastic meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner at the properties signature restaurant; equally we drank fantastic wine (thank you Stefano, a brilliant, friendly sommelier who was keen to guide us through Italian wines, and chose some special bottles for us) and felt like part of the family, start to finish. Quick tip, grab some bikes and cycle into nearby Ladispoli to enjoy some casual seafood spots, and then head south of the hotel to Julius Caesar’s old seaside hangout, the black iron rich sands are supposed to be very good for the body. Great stay, loved it.

CanadaThere could have been more selection on the dinner menu.
The La Posta Vecchia Hotel was a pleasant surprise, a hidden gem close to Fiumicino Airport. We spent three nights before departing Italy, following a trip to Positano and Rome. The hotel manager was kind enough to upgrade us to the beautiful Tower Suite with views over the ocean. The Cocktail Bar was a quiet oasis to relax and read, and the food and service in the restaurant were excellent. We enjoyed touring the grounds and walking the promenade of the nearby beach. It is a spectacular hotel, and we will definitely be back.

United StatesSuper quiet at night, very comfortable bed, premises felt super safe, beautiful grounds. Every vista felt worthy of cinema. I used the spa and got an awesome massage -- and the steam room downstairs was great. Loved all the little details, from the pink dishware at breakfast to the personal tour upon arrival. And the museum downstairs is worth a quick visit.

AustriaThe food was underwhelming and extremely overpriced. In particular, the wine selection was disappointing - they offer mediocre wines at exorbitant prices. Compared to other upscale places in Rome, La Posta Vecchia adds the most markup. Additionally, the rooms are outdated and not particularly spacious. It is in no way comparable to Il Pellicano or Mezzatorre.
The property and its view is extremely beautiful. The breakfast was really good.
