Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThe only item we missed was a fridge to keep the water cool. A fridge would totally make a huge difference to the guests.
Excellent hotel and staff were exceptional. Family run hotel with a friendly vibe. The hotel was spotless & the breakfast was perfect. the hotel is 100 metres from the beach which was perfect with lots of fabulous restaurants nearby. 20-minute walk into the Oldtown which also very beautiful. the hotel has a lovely pool if you are not a fan of the beach.

SlovakiaNot all staff speaks English or they speak just very basics. Learn some Italian! :) There was only one socket in the apartment and it was in the bathroom. When we needed to charge the phones and to use the electric mosquito repellent (many mosquitos during our stay), you have to make a choice.
The hotel and it's equipment are a little bit older but the exceptional service was a good compensation for it. Everything was super clean. Breakfast was the highlight of the day with variety of delicious options. The staff was very kind, the garden and pool area were beautiful and well maintained. The doggo and cats around were friendly. Great location too.

BelgiumNo parking but we didn't have any issue to find parking spot - you can park for free in all the streets around.
Rooms were big with a comfortable bed. Big and clean swimming pool with some lounge chairs. Beach on the other side of the road. There is an elevator.

Slovakiaold facilities, very old bed, but fortunately the sleep was fine, mostly italian communication (was not a problem), closest beach is not the nest one (Maria Pia is much more nicer), pool could be open earlier and longer (9-19). Still relatively expensive.
Very nice and kind staff, tasty breakfast, perfect cleanliness, quiet hotel, nice big enough pool, small green garden surrounding hotel, walking distance to centro storico, seaside, close to the bus stop.

United KingdomHotel interior is a little dated and although it is possible to hire a fridge, it would be useful to have this included in all rooms.
Lovely breakfast which varies day to day and a very nice outdoor pool area. Staff are helpful (particularly Franco!) and the rooms are comfortable. Well located for reaching both Maria Pia and Alghero city beaches, whilst also being about a 20 min walk from the old town.

United KingdomAll facilities were good. We had a balcony at no further charge which had a good view over the gardens, pool, port and city. Pool was good and clean with plenty of poolside beds and umbrellas. Garden areas well kept. Owners helpful and conversations with Franco on reception in the evenings was a delight. Good sunset location as too for the beach bus stops which we used if going to the city centre in the evening.

AustriaWe especially liked the well maintained garden and the pool, as an alternative to the beach. The location was also very convenient. Only two blocks to the city beach, a short bike ride to the beaches in the northern part of Alghero, and decent bus connections to the old town, airport, and northern beaches. Also close by are a supermarket, a nice selection of beach bars, restaurants, and a delicious gelateria. The hotel is a bit old fashioned, but we enjoyed that aspect.

IrelandThe owner and one of his sisters are the rudest people I have ever come across. He actually shouted at me because I took longer then 10 minutes when having a shower before leaving. I also witnessed him shouting at another guest who had moved her sunbed because it had collapsed on her (it had collapsed on me the previous day). Sister actually caught me by the arm to try to stop me using the bathroom near reception despite I explaining my toilet in my bedroom was broken (which I had reported previous evening). She wanted me to use the pool toilet...luckily a staff member came out and persuaded her to let me access the bathroom. Breakfast very limited with only scrambled eggs (every single day) and either sausages or squares of frozen pizza. White rolls or bread only (no brown). Limited fruit selection including tinned fruit!
Location to beach. Lovely gardens. Large bedroom and ensuite. Staff (excluding owners) were really nice and helpful.
