owners were excellent in communication and allowed us early access to our room. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great recommendation on restaurants. Excellent location for walking and seeing the old city. Would stay here again.

We spent two lovely nights at La Lupa. It is a ten minute walk to the start of the streets with bars and restaurants and twenty minutes to the Cattedrale. We were given a printed map of Matera along with detailed advice on how best to walk around the city to get the most benefit from our stay. This was invaluable advice especially on the hot days we experienced! Breakfasts were excellent with a good variety of dishes on offer.

La Lupa was slightly out of the hustle and bustle of Matera but only about a ten minute walk into the main town. There are plenty of paid and unpaid parking areas near the b and b. The host was very quick to get in touch via text with info how to get into the building.

The hitel was in an amazing location for the old town of matera Catch the local red bus for 2 euros takes you down to the square where James Bond film was filmed. Very clean and tidy and gorgeous bathroom Breakfast was plentiful and delicious

Great location - 3mins walk to Sassi. Modern room, quiet area, easy access to shops & restaurants. Hosts were always available, very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Modern rooms in a great location within 5 minutes walk of the old town and excellent communication. Check in was easy and in our arrival briefing Pasquale made sure we had parked in a way we wouldn’t get a fine and recommended how to explore the old town. Madame Giulia was also a great recommendation for dinner. Breakfast was excellent too. Wifi was good.

Breakfast coul de better but hey, you are in Italy where you don't get decent breakfast even in big hotels.

Great place to stay if you want to discover this magic town and you come by car. You find ample parking on the street but you are only 2 min. walk from the old town. The host was awesome. He give us great tips on where to go and what to see where to eat ...etc. It was great help which saved us some time and money and made our stay really perfect.

Beautifully designed and well thought out. Great sound proofing from the busy street. Comfortable bed and pillows. Fantastic location in one of the nicest vibe streets in Polignano.

Our landlord frederica and her family gave us a very warm welcome. The location of the apartment is about 5 minutes walk, so super close, to the old town. They gave us valuable tips for the old town tours, must-sees and restaurants right at check-in. The apartment is in a really quiet location with a great breakfast in the morning. When we wanted to leave Matera in the morning our car was unfortunately towed away. Our mistake. With the help of Fredrica we were able to locate the car. Pascale, her husband, was super helpful with picking up the car and communicating with the towing service and police. Many thanks to both of them. Mille Grazie Rita & Werner

Very nice place with great location. The breakfast is with limited choice. If you are not eating gluten and lactose is difficult to find what to eat. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Wifi a little slow but manageable for basic needs

Lovely hosts who gave fantastic information on arrival which helped negotiate a unique town. The B & B location is very convenient and good breakfast provided with great coffee.

Our room was spacious and well appointed. The owners were very helpful in giving advice about the area. The location is ideal for visiting Matera - a beautiful ancient city although I imagine it might get very crowded in the height of the summer season. Breakfast was excellent.

Didnt like the shower milk they provide as a shampoo and body wash. Its doesnt get soapy to clean your body and hair and hopefully they will change that in the future. And its just one sachet per person which I find not enough. I find the people a bit hard and thick for my short body.

Apartment is clean and its a bit new. I love the toilet and shower cause its spacious. Room and bed was also spacious. Good location. Apartment is just a short walk to the hilly town of Matera and 5-10mins walk to the shopping street or main area of the town. Breakfast was good but coffee was excellent. Signora doesn’t speak english but we managed to understand each other and she was very warm and hospitable. A bit hard to find a parking lot during the weekend so u will need some patience about it. Its by the side of the road so just keep the windows closed at night and you will sleep just fine. Wifi was fast.
