Beautiful place to stay , it is situated in a very romote area . The rooms were great and facilities in the are . The staff were exceptional so friendly .

Great room with balconay, view perfect..

Kaley and her partner was very welcoming and answered all our questions and took care of all of our needs. Breakfast was great. Rooms were very clean. The view was outstanding. Even though the weather was poor and cold the pool was heated and was very nice and beautiful.

Lovely place with a stunning view of the surrounding villages. Excellent location in the heart of the Chianti region. The place is well maintained and very clean. Lovely pool. Excellent breakfast. The road to the place goes through a forest where at night you can see deer, foxes and fireflies. The hosts are lovely. Warm and attentive hospitality. We stayed for a week and could have stayed longer.

My mom and I stayed for 4 nights at La Locanda. Kaly, Erika and Mirko were the most amazing hosts of this breathtaking Locanda. The view is just beautiful and unique, with a view over the landscape from the infinity pool. We felt like we were in paradise and you have a lot of nice corners to sit in to enjoy the view over the hills. The service of the hosts made it even more special. Nothing was asked too much, they are attentive and spoil their guests. They serve great wines and make delicious bruschetta. Although it isn't a restaurant, they cook dinner for the guests if you want to. Mirko is an amazing cook, and we ate there three times: antipasti with crostini di porcini, crostini neri toscani, the best tartare we had with homemade mayonnaise, tagliata with cannelini beans(!! must try), pici with ragout, trippa, Kaly's panzanella,... The breakfast was always fresh with great local products and you could ask for fresh coffee, occhio di bue,... We were in foodie heaven! The rooms were cleaned daily, we got fresh towels, the bed was super comfortable and there was good working airco. The bath tub was a nice extra. The locanda has a beautiful rustic and typical Italian feeling to it. To get at La Locanda you need to have a 20 minute drive on a gravel road but it's totally worth it. On a 20 minute walk there is Volpaia where you have some great restaurants and a winery. Nearby there is the restaurant Ristoro di Lamole which was one of the highlights for us. You can visit Panzano, Greve, Radda,... which is all accessible within a 30 minute drive. When we get the chance we will definitely come back to La Locanda! I can't imagine our vacation at a more beautiful place and with more wonderful people. The hosts are incredibly kind, they try to fulfill everything you need to accommodate you and feel happy. Beautifully situated place, amazing pool, rich and very tasty breakfast... Definitely try their dinner... They will prepare a gastronomic experience for you in their cozy family atmosphere, I recommend grilled eggplant and zucchini, great spaghetti carbonara and pici con ragu... we will be very happy to come again, if it is even remotely possible. Thank you.

The personal was great! The location and the facilities are amazing. The place is really beautiful. The room is large and nice, all was clean, the bed was perfect also the sleep there... we stay too short... next time will want to stay longer ;)

The place is unique and the view is breath taking, everything is clean and neat. Very nice and helpful host and staff! Great location (must have a car). Great breakfast and every evening there is a happy hour with wine and snacks in the shared space that feels really homey. Guido the owner and host made us feel at home and helped us with restaurants and everything we needed.

Excellent comfort in a "wild" place. Very clean room, swimming pool and unforgettable surroundings. During the night, you can enjoy the deers playing in the garden. Tasty and traditional Tuscany breakfast and appetizers in the evenings. Very welcoming host with great hospitality.

Our stay was just perfect!! Guido is the most amazing host, breakfast is super nice, the rooms are big and super clean, the view from the hotel and the pool is just magic. Will come back here for sure!!

Fantastic location in the countryside of Tuscany. Guido is a wonderful person and great host for his hotel. Facilities are very good and while sitting at the swimming pool overlooking the hills you really can not ask for more. It is also nice to talk to the other guests during the 'get together hour' from 19-20h with some snacks and drinks provided by Guido. Some guests may find the dirt road towards the hotel not so great but we loved it; just look at it as a positive part of the stay with every km you drive getting more and more into the Tuscany world! :-)

Guido is the most wonderful host! The property is so beautiful and the house has so much character and warmth. Incredible views and kind staff. The town of Volpaia is a 10 minute drive and very charming with a great winery and restaurants.

After an adventurous journey over the last 3 kilometers, we met an incredible host. The evenings with the obligatory aperitif and the charming guests were just great. With the rooms furnished with love for all details and the fantastic view of Chianti, we have found a place that we will not forget.
