Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRooms are on the smaller side, but considering the price and location, this guesthouse offers excellent value. Just a 5-minute walk from the station, around 25 minutes to the Colosseum, and under an hour to Vatican City. If you prefer not to walk, the metro station is conveniently nearby. There are also plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was generous, featuring pizza, doughnuts, apple turnovers, yoghurt, and fresh orange juice – a good selection if you enjoy something sweet or light in the morning. Please note , that access to the property is via a flight of stairs.

United StatesUnfortunately, there was no way to make coffee in our room. Only green tea packets were provided, however, we do not drink green tea. Lorenzo is very responsive, and he stated that he would have bought instant coffee for us if we had reached out to him earlier. Basic bathroom toiletries included little shampoo & shower gel packets as well as a bar of soap. If you use hair conditioner and body lotion, bring your own. The room has good A/C and you can adjust the temperature. When we returned to our room at the end of each day, we noticed that the A/C had been shut off. This was probably done to save energy, but the room was pretty uncomfortable until we ran the A/C for a while after returning.
We enjoyed our 3-night stay. The room was spacious and the location was very convenient, a stone’s throw from the train station. We had a completely private and undisturbed stay while we were in our room. Lorenzo was very friendly and welcoming. He left a bottle of wine in our room which we greatly enjoyed. For breakfast he made us a great cappuccino and offered pastries, fruit, and yogurt. Breakfast time starts at 8 am. When we informed Lorenzo that we would leave earlier than that on 2 mornings, Lorenzo left a bag with breakfast food in our room the day before.

Hong KongEverything is good
Perfect location: just feel steps from the central station with metro to the tourist spots and train to the airport. Host is super nice, responsive, helpful, took care of everything we need. Room is clean. Air-con is perfect and silent. Breakfast is wonderful with many options. We can’t finish even half of them. Thanks host to prepare our breakfast very early in the morning before 7am. Everything is perfect. It feels like home.

New ZealandThere was nothing not to like here.
The location was perfect and is less than 5 minutes walk from Roma Termini main station. This is very convenient for arriving and leaving Rome. All attractions and tourist sights were within 30 minutes or less walk from the accommodation. Public transport is accessible nearby if you don't enjoy the walk. Lorenzo is the best host, and nothing was a bother. He has an engaging and cherry personality. We were able to check in early, and our room was ready for us. He made us coffee and gave us a biscuit on arrival. He also allowed us to store our bags on the day of leaving as our train to the airport did not leave until 5pm. The breakfasts (see pictures) were very generous and varied each day. We couldn't eat it all, even so we wanted to! The room and bed were both comfortable and very clean. Lorenzo provided recommendations for eating out. The two we chose were handy and excellent. There are many other restaurants on the street, two streets down. If we were to make a 3rd visit to Rome, we would definitely stay here again. To anyone looking for clean and affordable accommodation in a convenient location, I would definitely say you would find Lorenzo's accommodation hard to beat. Thank you, Lorenzo, for your hospitality and for making our stay in Rome so enjoyable and easy. Grazie mille.

AustraliaEverything was great, clean and very welcoming. Only slight annoyance was the shower is quite small, didn’t provide much room at all. But otherwise, everything was perfect.
The room was great, the location was very close to the train station which is helpful is this is your mode of transport. Lorenzo greeted us himself and offered coffee etc while we waited for our room (we were early). He was more than accommodating. He makes the breakfast himself in the mornings and even packed us a breakfast for the next morning as we had an early start. Would 10/10 stay again.

AustraliaThe stairs into the property (about 12) are a bit tough with large luggage, however well worth the effort. Once up the stairs the lift to the first floor was easy.
Everything was fantastic. Good size room (34) Comfy bed and very clean. Bathroom was a good size with a great shower. Loved that we could open a window and look outside. So close to termini station. Even with heavy luggage it was ok. Lorenzo a great host who recommended 5 places to have dinner. We tried 2 and could not fault either one. (#1 & #3 on his printed list) Breakfast in a cute and cosy dining area was a feast, and literally gave us lunch as well. The comment board is very cute and shows Lorenzo is dedicated to making sure his guests are comfortable. A very pleasant young man, and we wish him all the very best.
