Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

KuwaitThe location of this hotel was outstanding! Just an 6-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, 8 minutes to the Spanish Steps, and about 20 minutes to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. There were numerous cafes and restaurants just meters away, and the metro station was less than a one-minute walk from the hotel—extremely convenient. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, even reaching out before our arrival to ensure a smooth check-in. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and offered an amazing view from the window

United StatesIf you are traveling on a budget La Dolce Vita is a great option. It's a nice 3 star accommodation. We appreciated the coffee setup in the reception area and the filtered water available there as well. The location is ideal for walking anywhere within Rome central. Restaurants surround Piazza Barberini. Taxis were lined up by early morning too if you needed an early ride. The room is basic and clean. The bed was comfortable. Towels were okay. Water was hot and pressure was great.

The location is perfect, walking distance to everything in the historical part of the city. The Barberini square is very well linked with public transport as well. We had a very easy communication and were able to check-in an hour early. The staff is very helpful and nice, I would definetely come back again the next time I’m in Rome!

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn't like.
This guesthouse has a great location - right on a lovely piazza with shops and restaurants nearby, plus it's only a minute away from a metro station and is a short walk to the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. The room was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Our room had a beautiful view of the piazza which we enjoyed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good value for money.

IrelandMaybe staff being around a bit more on reception as we only saw staff 1 day out of 4 but they were a phone call away if needed. This is the only thing I would fault and it’s not major
Location: Everything was walking distance. Trevi 5/6 minute walk and all major attractions close by. Very central with lots of restaurants and bars. Staff: Although not always on reception they were a phone call away if we needed anything. Cleaning staff were around daily to tidy rooms. Rooms: They were spotless clean as I said above cleaned everyday and fresh towels everyday. Bed was comfortable which makes a difference as you are on the go all day and having a comfortable bed to come back to makes all the difference

This hotel is in a Fantastic location, very close to the Trevi and all other attractions. The rooms were spacious and spotless, the staff were lovely. There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby & there is a taxi rank outside. I visited with my father who is elderly and we found it very easy to get around. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

CanadaThe room was on the small side. There was only one chair, but a second chair might take up too much space. We usually stay in larger apartment style units, but this is a hotel room (fine for short stays)
The location is amazing. We arrvied at Termini and took the metro two stops (Barberini). Go a few steps to the fountain, and there you are. In Dec. this is a great starting point to see the Xmas lights. Walk via Sistini to Spanish Step, Bubuione to piazza Popolo, and via Corso - amazing. Staff were all excellent - helpful and fluent in English. Helped book a taxi for 3:30 am too.

United StatesThere is not much that I could say. We would’ve loved to find some television in English, but that’s not your fault. The bathroom and whole apartment was very clean.
The young man behind the desk hooked us up with a car service to the port. It was absolutely perfect. He had great attention to detail and just made our stay great.
