Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomapartment walls are quite thin so you could hear things, such as the door locks quite a lot. we had difficulty with the plug sockets in the apartment as my normal euro plug didnt fit (italy have 2 standards). however we found more normal ones in the kitchen so used it to charge. bathroom shower felt dated with the shower curtain
electronic doors when i got the hang of it was good. the location was a few mins from the walls of pisa and a bus stopright outside for ones from the train station. half a mile to the main coach station area felt very safe communication from the host was good and attentive bathroom was large

LithuaniaThe residents of four rooms share one bathroom, which also includes a toilet. This is quite inconvenient, especially in the morning.
Very good location, free parking available. Very close to the Pizza Tower. The rooms are clean, bright, and unique.

United KingdomWe'd have hoped for a TV but we were only there one night so it wasn't that important.
Very clean and the host was very accommodating. We needed a place to stay for one night before we flew back to the UK from Pisa airport. We arrived too early with large suitcases and in this instance they allowed us to put them inside before we went into Pisa.

SloveniaThe place has thin walls so it can easily be very noisy. No coffee or tea to make yourself in the morning.

CroatiaAlthough my husband slept rather well, I had one of the worst nights ever. Beds are those extra beds, not the real beds. Pillows are hard as a rock. I had to use my jacket to be able to sleep. No hooks for the towells which you have to take back to your room. Very, very thin walls, so i heard people that went to the bathroom after midnight and those before 6. In the morning one can also hear lots of traffic from the street even when the windows are closed. Not perfectly clean. Also, i was annoyed by the fact that you can not leave your luggage in the common space for a couple of hourse, since check out is so early (10am). If it was not for my husband, i would even rate it as 6. Do not take rooms 3 and 4, those are ones close to the bathroom.
The position is ok for those with car, for us without it, actually not so conveniant.

United KingdomPlease mention in your instructions that little safety boxes with keys are behind the entrance door as I struggle for couple of minutes to find them (It is possible to simplify your instruction - use simple video for example :) ). Hotel is a bit off - but so far - bonus is that it is really quiet area. Didn't like the shared bathroom that much although it was very clean. I have to wait couple of times to use it - especially in the morning. It was a bit annoying but it is what it is ;)
Very easy self-checking process (so I do not have to worry about late arrival as my flights was delay). Room was large and spacious with extra bed, ventilator, and plenty of space to put staff in. Very clean. Area is very quiet so I have had beautiful sleep

Sri LankaShower head was inside the bathtub. Someone has had a shower outside the bathtub and water started leaking outside since there was no drain inside the bathroom. Our room was filled with water in the morning. We asked for a room change or to clean the room and they agreed to clean the room since we were already out for walk before 10am. But when we came back water was still there in the room. We didn't make a fuss since we were going to leave early morning next day but it was really uncomfortable.
Location was really close to the leaning tower of pisa and bus stand is close by so easy to go to train station. Room was big and the kitchen had a fridge and a microwave so that we can bring food from outside and have them.

AustraliaThere wasn’t any pots or pans to cook with and the shower curtain was a roll down which we are not sure some guests used as the bathroom floor was completely covered with water after their use or they had not realised they had been provided their own bath mat to use! It had dried by the morning though so it wasn’t a major issue.
Self check in was super easy, the rooms are very spacious with huge high ceilings, the decor is fresh and clean and simple. The bathroom is very large and the wifi worked good! The location was perfect with other tower of Pisa only a 5 minute walk and the bus station just a 10 minute walk.
