Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing that we didn't like. Initially, it was hard to find, but Giovanni came out and found us! Hurrah! and Whew!
Breakfast was great! The croissants were delicious! I was able to also make a sandwich from the meats and cheeses. Loved the bread. We also loved the closeness of many of the tourist sites. We enjoyed the quaintness of where it was located, nestled in the residential districts. There were an excellent gelato place and restaurant. Plus, the metro was just a couple of blocks away.

GermanyMissing a table or sofa in the shared kitchen...it would be great to have one in our opinion :) ...but still was great place and when we were alone, as there are 3 rooms in total, we were eating in the kitchen.
The location; walking distance to Coloseum! Metro and bus station couple of min away. Bars, restaurants, shops very close. Breakfast; good coffee, water, tea, fruits Croissants and fresh bread...all what you need is there :)

BrazilHours could be more flexible. Not many options to eat in the neighborhood. There was a restaurant downstairs that made a lot of noise until late hours.
Nice apartment in old but ok building. Kitchen available for use and good options for breakfast (considering it is a small apartment). Coffee machine broke one day, but got fixed. They offer yogurt, breads, milk, juice, pastries etc. Free bottle of water you can take to the room. The room is large and comfortable, we didn't use the TV, but wifi worked well. Large and comfy bed. Bathroom could use a renovation, the shower duche is small and toilet kept making noises the whole time. But there are toiletries available. We felt a pressure by the manager to leave the room at the time on the last day, but he was kind to keep our bags by the afternoon while we went to have our last lunch.

Also, metro station was 5 minutes away by foot. There are a lot of local restaurants and bars, market is close and some shops too.

SingaporeThe door lock for the accommodation was tricky to unlock, but Giovanni came to help quickly.
Very clean room and toilets with cute interior (cottage core). Giovanni is very helpful and came to assist me many times when I could not open the door. The property is located a short walk away from San Giovanni metro (line A) and there are lots of food options around.

GreeceOur stay at La chavie di Roma was excellent!!! The whole facility was very clean and comfortable. The room and the bathroom were very spacious as well. There were many options for breakfast and you could have a beverage at any given hour. The metro and bus station were nearby so you had easy access to all of Rome. Giovanni, our host was the best! He was there to facilitate any need we had. If we went back to Rome we would definitely return to La chavie di Roma!

SerbiaWe had room without a terrace, I missed that cause the view is beautiful. Everything else really has no complaints, everything was exceptional.
Very comfortable and pleasant place, in a very nice location. The host is extremely kind and approachable. We had a flight early in the morning, he called us a taxi and gave us the details ( and he didn’t have to 🙂). Cleanliness at an enviable level. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to visit Rome 🇮🇹

United KingdomNothing at all to complain about!
Giuseppe was such a great host. The flat is compact but we'll proportioned. All three rooms have lovely en suites. We were in room one. He had set up a very comfy camp bed for our daughter so we were all in one room. The shutters are better than blackout blinds. Everything it's very clean and tidy. Breakfast is much better than most places in Rome. He arrives at 8am, and cleans up at 11am. Great coffee machine, fruit (banana and oranges), tasty soft brown bread, baps, crusty breads, focaccia, various milk, juice, pastries, yogurts, cheese, meats etc. Really good. There is a fridge where you can store your own stuff, and a microwave. There's also an oven but we didn't try it. I really can't fault anything. He was really helpful. I have a WhatsApp full of food recommendations. Local to the flat is a supermarket (Elite) and lots of eateries. Local Metros are San Giovanni and Re Di Roma. Use the latter if you want more places to eat on the way home. Or if you want to hang out at the local dog park and meet some great people ♥️ The ONLY reason you wouldn't want to stay here is if you really want to be right in the centre of town. But it's so close by the metro and we were able to get everywhere so easily. And then came back to a quiet and safe area. Thank you Giuseppe!!
