Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

North MacedoniaI'll start with just a suggestion; They invested so much in the apartment so it's a shame that it doesn't have a smart TV. Just put 350€ more and get a 43" smart TV and it will be PERFECT. Now, I must comment on the neighborhood. It's just (like most of Palermo that is not central) shady. It's a good 30-40 min walk to the "tourist area", which is not far, but the walk is through parts of the town that will make you very uncomfortable. I believe people should be ready for that when booking their stay. It really is a near-perfect apartment, and it's a shame that is in that surroundings.
Probably the best apartment I've stayed in for a while. Really a great place. It's newly renovated, clean, and modern, the bathroom is great, you have all the utensils you'd need. There are even speakers for music that are plugged into the whole apartment, so you can play your songs in every room simultaneously. Which I enjoyed especially in the bathroom :)

SerbiaThe light in the bedroom. I had trouble sleeping. It comes from the street. The bedroom doors are made out of glass, so closing it didn't help much. The pillows vere very old. The streets in our area (everywhere in the old town) are extremely filthy... I am talking about feces and smell of urine, plus the "regular" thrash and even old, dilapadated, furniture. If you're going to Palermo, brace yourself. Pretty much everywhere you'll stay, it will be like this. We visited Agrigento, which wasn't filthy. If you decide to go to Sicily, I would advise you to avoid Palermo, because even the wonderful people (accept in the markets) and nice food (Massaro in the neighbourhood) and all the mesmerising places we visited (my top favourites are Palazzo Drago, Palazzo Mirto, Palazzo Comitini, Palazzina Cinese and Teatro Massimo) are tainted by the litter. However, should you decide to visit Palermo, I recommend this place.
The apartment is even better than in the photos! Spacious, in an old building, with a new flare. The owner and the cleaning ladies were very pleasant. They let us enter the apartment an hour earlier and stay an hour later. They left the air condition on for us to arrive in the cooled apartment and a bottle of water in the fridge. There is a very nice park nearby - D' Orleans, where you can actually see greenery (it is not that the grass is not green in Sicily, it does not exist, not even in the parks and 99% of the fountains do not work) and a fountain that works. It is a very nice and small zoo and the entrance is free!

HungaryGiuseppe is a very lovely host, he waited for us at the apartment even tough we had a late arrival and our flight was late on top of that. The apartment is perfect for a couple, the space is big and we found everything we were looking for. We stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect. The location is very convenient too, it is approximately 20 minutes walk to the old town.

RomaniaThe neighbourhood is not well kept. It is in stark contrast to the apartment that is great. Sometimes loud cars would go by blasting music and if you did not have the windows closed it could get really loud.
Palermo is a good hub if you want to visit Sicily. From where we stayed we had acces to the highway fairly quickly and could visit the Etna Volcano (4 hours one direction by car), the Cefalu Beach (1 hour one direction by car), the Scala dei Turchi (2 and 1/2 hours one direction by car) and also the Palermo city center which was a 20 minutes walk (the Botanical Garden is 30 minutes walk, the Sea Side is around 40 minutes walk, the Real Palace is around 20 minutes walk, and the Theatre is around 35 minutes walk). Near the Theater we found the best places to eat and have the gelato in brioche (winner). Near La Casetta delle Scienze we had a supermarket (Conad) and also the Massaro complex for breakfast, coffee, and anything sweet or savoury that you need. The place itself was great. It is situated on the ground level, with lots of space, nicely equiped kitchen and great living area with great lighting from the start of the day to it's end. The bedroom was really nice, spacious, and clean. What you see in the pictures is what you actually get. If you go by car there is parking on the street but you may find that going to a private parking spot is safer. We really recommend getting a "don't worry" insurance with all damages covered alongside theft protection. Giuseppe was really nice and helped us with all the information we needed.
