The second bedroom had a vaulted ceiling, I’m 5’4 and I struggled to avoid it… it was not suitable for my friend who is 6’2.

Very central B and B in old part of town… family owners who care, and are good at, hospitality… good breakfast with wider European options, not just cakes… our rooms were lovey, the terrace perfect for people watching and star gazing, the bathroom shower was superb, modern and powerful but fitting for the renovated building… all in all, we loved it and would definitely return to this excellent bed and breakfast… Erasmus recommended 2 restaurants, both good but Pico was exceptional, highly recommend.

We received a warm welcome upon our arrival from the family. Our rooms were beautiful and they each had incredible views of Matera. We enjoyed the fantastic breakfast with special cakes made by the mother. A wonderful stay in the incredible town of Matera.

No much. On the day we left a govt worker with an air blower made the most spectacular racket it woke us up at 530 am and we couldn't get back to sleep. Nothing to do with our room or the owners

The staff we met were both exceptionally friendly and helpful, offered us a free upgrade! The breakfast was absolutely delicious and varied. The accommodation was beautiful, perfect location on the edge of the sass, easy to access and so comfortable. 11/10!

Our stay in Matera was unforgettable! This family-owned accommodation, passed down for generations, felt like a natural part of the city’s rich history. Located in a very central spot this is a great place to start your journey in Matera. Erasmo is very accommodating & friendly. This was once his grandfather’s home so you can tell he takes great pride in running it. The breakfast was yummy & plentiful options. Item made by Erasmo’s mother!

Wonderful B&B with individual accommodations right in the centre of Matera. The terrace views and the apartment were wonderful, and the breakfast with freshly baked cakes was to die for. The staff were also very helpful.

Casa di Ele was a gorgeous little hotel in the heart of Matera. The hosts were brilliant and the breakfast was out of this world! Our room was tidy, spacious and absolutely gorgeous. The host even helped us print our bus tickets and was so helpful with recommendations.

Ir was a very nice and lovely place to stay in beautiful Matera. The location is amazing, and the terrace above the city was perfect for our evening. The owner was very helpful, booked a place in the restaurant for a dinner and served lovely breakfast in the morning. Concerning parking they suggested a private garage nearby. So no worries about the car or the stuff left with it (we were traveling with bikes on the car so it is difficult to find proper safe parking). All in all- 100/10
