It exceeded my expectations, host Pasquale is very hospitable and informative. The place was in an ideal location and the apartments interior exterior was beautiful. What a great apartment, very clean and well equipped. The owner was so nice and helpful, he even drove us back to the bus stop, also supplied us with so much food, wine, beer, fruit, pastries and breakfast. Location was fantastic, walk to everything in Matera. If you are coming to Matera we recommend this apartment 100%

One of the best holiday places we've ever stayed. Our host Pasquale went absolutely above and beyond. Local recommendations, 200 Mbps internet, great location right near the piazza and viewpoint, house was filled with amazing food on arrival, as well as espresso coffee, milk and local wine.

Our stay at Casa di Nonni in Matera was absolutely wonderful—far beyond all expectations. The apartment was perfect for four people and offered much more than we had hoped for. It is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything one could possibly need for a comfortable multi-day stay. The kitchen is fantastic—modern, spacious, and fully stocked with all essentials. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk from the breathtaking historical centre of Matera, with a supermarket conveniently nearby. Most importantly, our charming host, Pasquale, was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. He went out of his way to assist us, patiently explained everything, and ensured that our stay was as pleasant and smooth as possible. His warm hospitality made us feel truly at home. We wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Matera. It’s a perfect place to experience the beauty and spirit of the city.

The property was clean and beautiful, the location was also amazing. We got to enjoy a fully stocked fridge, and the host also gave us some delicious local focaccia and pastries. This was a really good stay, no complaints.

Our host is an expert on local history and gave us some excellent recommendations to appreciate some if the hilights of Matera. And some good recommendations for good places to eat.The apartment is perfectly situated on the edge of the most interesting part of Matera. The apartment was perfect, spacious, had a lovely sun terrace and was very well-equipped and our host provided a large amount of wonderful local treats to eat.

The photos does not do this beautiful sanctuary justice. It was perfect! Our host Pasquale spoilt us with scrumptious local produce, this included fresh fruit, focaccias, fresh burratas & pomodore & pastries etc. He was a true host that welcomed us into his place & town. The place & location is perfect, not only is it immaculately clean and maintained, with all the facilities that you need, but has so much character that does not come out in the photos & a great location next to the Duomo. Was perfect!

From the moment we arrived, we were looked after by the host Pasquale. Great communication and being picked up from the train made it very easy. The apartment was lovely, well equipped and the deck a delightful place to relax. We really appreciated all the beautiful treats (focaccia, pastries, fruit, almonds….) provided by the owner - really amazing generosity!! Also wonderful to have good recommendations for local restaurants and sightseeing. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

We arrived late in the evening, but the host was available to show us around the apartment. Fantastic breakfast already available in the appartment (much better than expected!). Apartment reasonably spactious (for Italy). Large terase with a view over roofs. That terase is definitely a big plus. Apartment is located in a nicely renovated building and just at the edge of Matera old town. We were very happy with the apartment and a very helpful host. Definitely recommended!

The apartment was very close to the main streets and an amazing view point. There are many shops and restaurants nearby but it is very quiet and private. Inside was modern, well decorated and very clean. We had a nice terrace but unfortunately we’re not able to use it because of the weather. The owner was not present at the check in but he gave us instructions through WhatApps and helped us find a free parking spot. He had an extensive knowledge of Matera and gave us a lot of informations. He also let us leave our luggage after check out so we could enjoy the city longer.

Great apartment super terrace 5 mins from historic Matera. Pasquale made sure he did everything to make our stay perfect we could have stayed there much longer. The fridge was full of goodies including some of the local cuisine. Pasquale loves people and welcome them has family.

The location was perfect very close to the historical part of Matera "Sassi" Pasquale was the perfect host making sure to tell us about Matera and the places to visit. Apartment great, breakfast excellent. Pasquale is a lovely person who looked after us like we were one of his family. We travel a lot and can say without doubt this is the place to be. (We would give 20 if we could)

Nothing, though I would have liked an iron - just being fussy though!

Location was perfect, so close to everything in the sweetest little street, the room was spotless and spacious and the fridge was next level well-stocked. There was a range of breakfast items - yoghurt, cereal, pastries-plus cheeses, tomatoes, focaccia, fruit, beer wine and juice. Amazing and so welcome! Plus we could cook in the well equipped kitchen, spread out and relax. Really loved the balcony too!

The room is on the second floor. We travel with big luggages. Anyway, it is worth to waste our muscle power for the room.

The location is only few steps away from the main street and view point but hidden in a quiet street. Superclean and spacious!!!. The owner, Pasquel, he is very thoughtful and pay attention in every minor detail of our request. He helped us find free parking spot for our rental car. Food in refrigerator was fresh and well selected.

Absolutely nothing.

Our host met us at the station and took us to the property which was very kind. The accommodation was great. The fridge was bursting with treats for breakfast and more. Very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Location was excellent. Just a few minutes walk to one of the viewpoints overlooking the town and restaurants just round the corner. The town was amazing, so much to see and do.

Pascal was the most generous and accommodating host we've ever come across in years of travelling. Everything was virtually perfect. Good communication with regular follow-up, easy to find, great location, very clean, well sized with all necessary equipment and facilities. And, the large amount of lovely food and drinks was completely unexpected but truly appreciated.
