How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I understand that it is a small hotel but found the menu limited, however, there are restaurants nearby and maybe this is why, so I may be being unfair
This is a family run hotel, they are all so nice and helpful, accommodation is very clean and of a high standard, loads of hanging space and a fridge, plenty of parking and as a motorcyclist I felt my bike was safe as it was not in view from the road, prices for food and drink very reasonable, plenty of choice for breakfast and the freshest eggs I've ever had, I stayed 2 nights but wish it were longer.

Enjoyed everything.
The warmth of the family run hotel, exceptional kindness of the hosts. The personal touch, the aesthetic elements of the room color and cozy feeling inside. We also tried the spa and it is perfectly kept, to relax and de stress after a long drive….

We thought everything was great.
Our room was super - we had a large balcony and enjoyed sitting out in the evenings. Wine was available and if you take advantage of optional dinners, you could take your unfinished bottle of wine to your room and finish your evenings out on your balcony. Mamas pasta was to die for! Salads delicious! Lovely gardens to sit in. Lovely suite with sitting room, bedroom and modern bath. Breakfast was great as well.

The room is modestly furnished and maintained, the shower is modern and efficient but quite crowded. The hotel sits on top of a hill and the access to it by car from the road is via a driveway that is hard to spot, especially when coming from the direction of Aosta as it is right after a blind turn in the road. Perhaps marking the path with a prominent sign would have helped.
A family hotel on the edge of Aosta (in the nearby town of Sarre). Free parking in the hotel complex. Our dog was also received in a friendly manner and free of charge. All the staff are available, courteous and helpful. Our room included a balcony overlooking the snowy mountains opposite. A very good breakfast, served to the table - a real treat. There are good restaurants in the nearby town of Aosta, but most of them are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays - the days we stayed there. For such situations, the mistress of the house is ready to prepare dinners for the guests upon pre-order, and we took advantage of this. Interesting local home food and some of the dishes are even very good.

From the moment my daughter and I arrived we were made to feel welcome. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed a drink and looking at the views. Dinner was amazing and the chef even came out to ask if everything was ok. The staff were amazing through out our stay and would like to say a big thankyou.

Ideal spot for hiking the Aosta valley with a family with children. The host is very helpful and knowledgable about the area and does everything she can to make you have a good stay. Breakfast has plenty of options and can be taken under the morning sun near the garden. One can also enjoy a glass of wine for aperitivo from the bar in the garden.

I had to leave…….eventually 😁
Great location with stunning all round views and a 5 minute drive in to the beautiful town of Aosta. Best breakfast choice i have ever had and hosts (Marta)were fantastic.
