Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. A larger bin in the room and a full length mirror would have been great! Otherwise, everything was up to standard.
The room was very comfortable and fit 3 people perfectly, we loved the vintage rust vibe that the place has as it definitely adds a bit of character! Our lovely host Laura was very responsive and also left us some snacks and free water in the room. The accommodation is only a minute away from Piazza della Universita where there are many parking spaces at a small fee at certain hours. It is also close to many restaurants and bars.

Super clean, big room, nice decorations and best location. I really can recommend it. You can have coffee and also some sweet stuff was provided, free of charge.

Literally the best and nicest appartment I have ever stayed! (and have been around). for sure the most beautiful interior carefully thought out with amazing details. Impecably clean, spacious and with all amenities! Laura is an amazing host! Friendly and always available to help out with anything you may need! Should you visit Sassari, beleive me, you have to stay there!

we missed some plates and cutlery when we wanted to use the microwave
Our host provided buscuits and croissants, water and coffee every day. The room was cleaned and toiletries added on daily basis. The location was perfect, right in the centre and close to university.

It was a large and nicely decorated room, in a very convenient location. It was particularly nice to have coffee and tea provided and a table to sit at. All the arrangements and communication was very clear and responsive

What an amazing place. Very clean and very cozy. It had everything we needed even a light breakfast. The location is very central and the communication with the host was very easy. I would stay again and again.

It was close to the center, the location was very nice! The room was clean and cozy, the checkin went smooth, and the host was just amazing! Laura was so sweet, she helped us a lot with the accomodation and late dinner, she recommended the best restaurant to have dinner, she was just fantastic!! Thank you Laura, for making our stay so pleasant

Only that we weren't staying for more than one night!
A gorgeous apartment. Tastefully decorated with thoughtful touches everywhere. Very comfortable bed and a spacious walk-in shower. Location is perfect - in a quiet, cobbled street near the cathedral, several delightful piazzas, and a choice of eateries. And less than 15min walk from either the train station or the bus stop for Alghero airport. Laura was a consumate host and met us for an early check-in and was always on-hand for advice and recommendations. Water in the fridge and a coffee machine with pods and some treats for a breakfast snack were a nice touch. Couldn't recommend the apartment highly enough (and Sassari - a welcoming laid-back city!). Grazie mille, Laura!

Just the few stairs to come up the room (like 15 steps)
