Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaShower cabin was a bit small
Exactly what we expected to get. Good value for money, great if you like quiet, peaceful vacation with a small own nice beach next to the hotel; staff attitude compensates for the hotel being a bit outdated, but was something it was expected. Breakfast with limited options but tasty. Great view from the reastaurant.

Czech RepublicThere was no wi-fi signal in our room. The room was smaller and the furnishings were older.
Proximity to the beach with sun loungers and umbrellas. Decent breakfast. Parking at the hotel.

Czech RepublicVery soft mattress, air conditioning does not cool well, breakfast is quite simple and repetitive if you stay longer
It's a nice retro 3* hotel. It faces the sea and hotel guests have free sunbeds and umbrellas. There are plenty of them, no reservation is needed. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Amazing people who try to make their guests feel welcome. There is a big fridge in the room which is very quiet.

This hotel was very nice. Has very beautiful view on the sea from the balcony😃 Staff there is very helpful and kind and let me stay longer in the room, because of my later train. They have a private sunbeds on the beach which are free for their clients and swimming pool😃 Food in the restaurant was excellent and I was always full after 😃 City in general is small but cute and not too much turist in this period, which was brillant for me 😃 Highly recommend to stay there, even for few days! 😉

United KingdomNothing really the hotel is a family run hotel and is not 5 star luxury but does not pretend to be and doesn't charge 5 star prices IT maybe could do with a little modernisation but only if it could be done without taking away its charm
Location and beautiful Seaview The owner and staff were very helpful advising on train /bus times booking trips and restaurants The lifeguards on the beach went above and beyond helping elderly people to the sunbeds carrying their bags as well as keeping an eye on the kids they were always smiling and happy to have a chat

United KingdomOur only negative was that we wanted to eat dinner on the terrace and were told that dinner had to be eaten in the restaurant. It did not detract from our stay at all. Everything was wonderful
The hotel was wonderful. The staff were all absolutely charming - so helpful at all times, from the receptionists, to the waitors, lifeguards and cleaners. All amazing.

SwedenWifi comes and goes. AC is very loud but doesnt work very well. Beds and all other furniture are old and worn down. Cleaning is not very accurate. There were mold in the bathroom
There were plenty of staff and they were all very friendly. The beachservice is good but since its on the eastcoast its not a sandy beach. Breakfast was good. Good parking. You can see that this hotel has the charm of past times and 50 years ago it must have been very luxurious but today only the charm remains and its really needs a facelift.

MaltaThere wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property.
I love that the property has a distinct retro style, it is so well kept, clean and has all the amenities and facilities required. It has direct private access to the beach with deck chairs at no extra charge. The location is absolutely beautiful.

LithuaniaBreakfast contained just some breads, a couple types of cheese, prosciutto and salami, and different sweets. But that's the same (or worse) verywhere in Sicily, so you just need to know that you can't expect a full buffet with omelette, different vegetables, fruits, porridge etc. Nothing to do around besides the beach, so if you're staying longer than a few days, you really need a car to go around to see Etna, Savoca, Forza D'Agro etc.
Very nice hotel in retro style. We got a sea view room and it was really wonderful. Very welcoming and polite staff. Good location in front of the pebble beach. All the comments mentioning old rooms and furniture are correct, but this is what makes it special. Furniture and rooms look old, but more as in 'retro' and not as in 'broken or heavily worn'. Everything is working fine and is as good as new, and it's all part of the hotel's charm. It definitely doesn't need any renovation, then it would just become the same as any other "new" hotel in any other place.
