How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Nothing, it was really a pleasure.
Thank you very much.

Verified reviewIter is a classic case of don't judge a book by its cover. To be honest, first impressions are not great. Once we met Greta and were settled in, we felt right at home. Iter is around a 40min. walk into Verona. Greta explained where we could park near the Roman bridge for easy access to the town.
The only thing that we found awkward was the 8.30 am. start for breakfast. We are early starters, and it would be nice to be able to get a coffee when we wake up.

Verified reviewStaying at ITER is a great experience. We thoroughly enjoyed Greta's warm welcome, the venue's location and services, the calm and privacy it offered, and how relatable and personal the whole experience became. If you are planning to visit Verona, this is clearly a must!
Everything was great!

Verified reviewStayed overnight once july 26th 2025. A place a little bit outside in the fields, but close enough to enjoy Verona's Arena and Carmen. A place which you have to like, green, sustainable and easy going. Room was ample and top, small signs of usage which is normal at B&B. Garden and pool usage included, relaxing and great. Breakfast assorted, well prepared and enough, buffet-style. Landlady very friendly and helpful, even organized a shuttle for us towards Arena and back, which was at 1:30 AM! If you want to have a relaxed day or more in Verona, take this adress.
Ther is nothing NOT to like.

Verified reviewThe rooms were big and comfortable, the pool was nice, the breakfast simple but ok - unfortunately the coffee mashine did not work well enough to do cappuccino as well
In the garden, next to the pool was dog shit and due to the high degrees it was quite stinky. In any case, it was very disgusting
We apologize for the problem, but it was not due to our lack of attention, but to the rudeness of other guests present. Despite having been expressly told that dogs are not allowed in the common areas, they brought theirs without permission. Unfortunately, we did not notice. Sorry again

Verified reviewThe breakfast was just ok. Very few choices but you can eat as much as you want. They prepare a table for each room, and they leave a portion of juice at the table. The coffee was ok, and there were some bread options. The hotel feels like a family option. The room was quite big and had all the amenities needed, even drinks. The owners of the hotel were super friendly.
The beds were extremely hard, like rocks. And the pillows smelled like armpit. We had to sleep with no pillows. For the breakfast, they could add more fruit options and eggs. The hotel is located far away from the city center, so you need to move by car or taxi. There are almost no public transportation available. If you travel with kids, you have to be aware because the owners have like 4 big dogs that are quite close to the hotel areas, and they kept barking at us.
for your information the bed linen is regularly disinfected: what smelled was perhaps your little girl's VOMIT on the sheets. For travel there are two bus lines that take you directly to the Arena or a shuttle service by car upon reservation. Breakfast, which includes sweet and savory, is perfectly in line with what is expected for a bb. Finally, guests are not expected to come near our private home where there are our dogs who, however, move in a completely separate and controlled space

Verified reviewNothing.
The owner has 3 dogs on the premises and because of them we could not enter the backyard with our own dogs (even tough the I booked the stay with the dogs). They did not get us an invoice at the premises (and said we will get it on the booking.com) and we had to pay additional 200 EUR for dogs (without an invoice). So far, we have not received any invoice for the stay - not on the premises neither on booking.com. This trip turned out to be as costly as if we would be sleeping at a 5-star hotel.
the customer regularly stayed in the room with his two dogs for which he paid € 10 per day. Our dogs are completelly separated from the guest area. The invoice was regularly sent by email. They probably confused us with another location

Verified reviewGrethe is a wonderfull host. The cook is also fantastic so we advice to have dinner at Iter if you get that possibility. Our dog felt very welcome too. He received a Veronese serenade by Grethes dogs every time he entered the gate ; ). We will for sure stay at Iter if we visit Verona again.

Hosts Greta was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her, even helping us with lifts into the city and airport for a small fee. She real looked after us. We dined at Iter one evening and Robeta’s cooking was delicious. Thank you Roberta. Verified reviewVery big and clean room, spacious bathroom, in many way very ecological and silent house. We also got very good tips where to park the car during the opera night.
There were no bicycles nor hot tube available even if in the website it was mentioned that there are bicycles and a hot tube.
