Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyI arrived at 01 AM due to the fact my flights were delayed, and one Lady from there - I assume the wife of the Owner started to shouted at me. Very poor communication with English language. Toilet lid found cracked and glued.

LuxembourgThe amount had to be paid at the reception with cash and there was no safe in the room as said in the room information, however it is very safe there so a safe wouldn't be necessary.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They spoke italian but somehow the communication worked. We got a recommendation for a very good restaurant and they were very flexible with check-out times. There is also an elevator. We will certainly go back if we travel there again!

Breakfast is not included, but there are many small Italian cafés and breakfast spots near the hotel. The location is perfect, with car parking available nearby. The staff were very good and friendly, especially the hotel supervisor, who gave us a small gift at check-out. The hotel administrator (owner) kindly offered us a free late check-out — instead of 10 a.m., she allowed us to stay until the afternoon

United KingdomLady at the reception did not speak English at all therefore communication with her was really challenging. Indeed she wanated me to pay by cash and only after my persistence she did agree to accept card payment. The card machine did not work at first, but she somehow managed to make it work the day after calling me at night and asking what time will I get back saying that she’s waiting for the payment.
The location was great, also the room itself was spacious and nice.

The location is ideal to visit Genoa and it's surrounding cities on foot. It's close to all transport facilities. Room is very clean and comfortable. Best of all is the host, Gloria who took care of us so well we felt like family ❤️ We will definitely be back ❤️

United KingdomReceptionist couldn’t speak English. She was mixing documents, wanted us to sign under different customer information. Then she knocked to our room to give our passports but it wasn’t ours, again, just very distracted. In the morning someone been trying to unlock our door with force - again, we don’t know if that was someone confused with a room or it was her. In overall it wouldn’t be that bad, but just all this hassle wasn’t necessary. You can only pay in cash. Keep that in mind.
