Family run establishment that was great value for money

Staff very friendly. Ideal for football match.

Air-conditioning struggled in high temperatures.

The staff were super nice!! It was close to the Como.

Great apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and kitchen. Nicely fits family of four.

Cleanliness

Noise, from other rooms, from one room man talking over the phone very loudly at 12.30 AM for nearly an hour, could not sleep. Great Breakfast very expensive, £18 for two, while nearby Cafeteria only £6.00 for two.

The staff were great. Breakfast was nice. And parking was very useful for location. Como is built up and hard to manovre so having a place to leave car was good. Cctv present. Bar and drinks were served at a good price and staff were friendly

Had a slight smell from room. The door to room was triple lock security door which had me questioning safety? But had no issues. DIY in room was questionable with very dim room from lack of lights. Key to room is huge 😆 The parking was 15 for the night but would be nice if free.

Its classic and nice and does not cater to crazy people, owner very nice

Nice and Clean, friendly and welcoming. Especially very nice breakfast, have a very wide parking lot and have electricity Charger for EV cars. I love the tiles floor. And then Very near to the Como ferry tour and Center of the city Como and popular places to visit. I definitely recommend this place and I will surely come back again for my next visit.

The breakfast..

20 minutes flat walk to the Lake. 10 minutes to town. Affordable. Great breakfast - our favourite! Staff really friendly. AC. Comfortable! Great showers. Lovely building. Plenty of parking!

Had to buy an adapter- no usb points. Found this to be standard in Italy. However armed with a usb adapter allowed us the enjoy the rest of our holiday. No not a big deal

We had rented their apartment, which is located about 400 meters from the hotel itself, which probably surprised us a bit. This should probably be mentioned. The apartment itself was newly renovated and in very good condition.

I stayed at Lizard Hotel with my family, and overall, it was a decent experience. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with beds that were well-suited for a family stay. One of the things I appreciated most was the regular cleaning service, which kept the place tidy throughout our visit. The comfort and cleanliness made it easier for us to relax and enjoy our time.

However, there are a few issues. The location is not ideal, as the hotel is situated in a residential building, making entry and exit a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the area itself isn’t particularly upscale. The kitchen amenities are also lacking, with a shortage of items like tea cups. Also the view from the apartment was not pleasant, which slightly affected the overall atmosphere.

A/C a little weak, but a good quiet fan was also supplied. Together they kept us cool in hot weather. The outdoor seating area could use a little love.

Very kind and helpful staff and good breakfast. Location is just close enough to walk to the city center and far enough to avoid the center if you're traveling around with a car. It's a decent value to stay compared to overpriced more central locations.

The rooms were recently repainted and are in decent condition but there was a lot of paint residue (spots) on the floors and around fixtures. The AC can "just" keep up with the summer heat during the night. The beds and pillows were extremely soft but it depends on what you like.
