How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Noise, from other rooms, from one room man talking over the phone very loudly at 12.30 AM for nearly an hour, could not sleep. Great Breakfast very expensive, £18 for two, while nearby Cafeteria only £6.00 for two.

Had a slight smell from room. The door to room was triple lock security door which had me questioning safety? But had no issues. DIY in room was questionable with very dim room from lack of lights. Key to room is huge 😆 The parking was 15 for the night but would be nice if free.
The staff were great. Breakfast was nice. And parking was very useful for location. Como is built up and hard to manovre so having a place to leave car was good. Cctv present. Bar and drinks were served at a good price and staff were friendly

We had rented their apartment, which is located about 400 meters from the hotel itself, which probably surprised us a bit. This should probably be mentioned. The apartment itself was newly renovated and in very good condition.

A/C a little weak, but a good quiet fan was also supplied. Together they kept us cool in hot weather. The outdoor seating area could use a little love.
Great location with parking close to the old town. Friendly family run hotel.

The rooms were recently repainted and are in decent condition but there was a lot of paint residue (spots) on the floors and around fixtures. The AC can "just" keep up with the summer heat during the night. The beds and pillows were extremely soft but it depends on what you like.
Very kind and helpful staff and good breakfast. Location is just close enough to walk to the city center and far enough to avoid the center if you're traveling around with a car. It's a decent value to stay compared to overpriced more central locations.

Bit further away from the pier in Como, takes some time to walk/catch the bus.
Clean hotel, has everything you need, and most importantly, DOG-FRIENDLY!

No elevators, it will be difficult to take the suitcases upstairs it they are heavy (I had a cramped back). The hotel is right outside the ZTL zone, hence non-Italian visitors may take their car and park there without an issue

The appartment was in another building, it is actually not a part of the hotel. You have to walk out and go further down the street for about 5 minutes to find the appartment in a simple house. And this disctrict of the city is not a very good one, streets are full of immigrants from different countires, I didn't feel safe when we returned to this house in the evening.
Great appartment, everything is so new and very clean, well-equipped with all amenitites. The hotel owners and personnel are very friendly and are ready to help. Good breakfast for 5 Euro per person only.

Nothing, everything was perfect :)
Breakfast was lovely, yogurts, coffee, baked goods and fresh fruit to get you started for the day. Location was great very easy to get to and from places. Staff were absolutely lovely and the room was very comfortable and a great size.

Good location for Como and Milan city trip. Well situated to train station for daytrip to Milan. And 15 min. walk to Lago di Como and Como city centre.

You have to walk for 15-20 minutes to reach the city center, but the area is on the otherhand a bit more quiet.
Very polite and friendly staff. The hotel is very cosey and quiet. Our room was very clean.

Even if it's clean and renovated, in the room smells old.
