How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewTeresa’s flat is beautifully decorated, extremly clean and welcoming. We spent the week in Bari as a family so we rented the entire apartament. Situated within a walking distance from Bari center, the neighbourhood is silent and the location is just perfect, 5 mins walks from the best beach in Bari, with so many amenities nearby. Teresa was super friendly, responsive and helfpul, amd made us feel like home. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Bari.
I don’t have anything to complain about, everything was perfect.

Verified reviewGood location for the city beach and the promenade. Big parking for the car on the seafront. the property is on 3. Floor. A lovely room with use of the kitchen ( coffee pods and other essentials provided by the host, coffee machine and even milk froth kettle!:), bathroom in a separate room but to your own use (a key is provided to lock the door). The property is about 20min walk along the seafront to the old town and the same distance to the central railway station. Bust stop and rail stop Bari Marconi 3 min from property. Post office with ATM is next door. A coffee bar on the corner. The host has thought of it all. Recommended.
The view from the balcony is not much:)

Verified reviewRoom is really nice, loads of space, and large bed. The property is a 2 minute walk to the train station so if you want to explore some of the towns close by like Monopoli or Polignano a Mare it is really easy. It is about a 25 minute walk to old town but there are restaurtants and cafes right beside the property. Teresa is also an amazing host, checked in with me several times over whatsapp during our stay to make sure everything was ok, and also organsied a taxi for me on departure.
Not a lot really. Room and location is really good. The only thing is the bathroom is across the hall but it is a private bathroom with loads of space and a nice bath.

Verified reviewI came here with my wife which is pregnant, we just wanted a calm place to relax and enjoy the beautiful autumn afternoons in Bari. When we arrived we were surprised by the hospitality of Teresa, who make us feel like at home. The room had everything we needed, the kitchen too. The bathroom was clean and big, and my wife had everything to have a shower in the afternoon. There is a small balcony where you experience the Italian culture and can enjoy a coffee in the morning while the sun is rising. We had some healthy issues and my wife had to visit a dentist, Teresa helped us and called her family dentist, who helped us right away. Neighborhood doesn't look so beautiful, but this gets compensated with the neighbors and all possibilities you get around, there is a coffee place in the corner where you can good coffee for cheap price, in case you want to eat fresh fish, there is a good restaurant there called Bahari. There is a bakery which sells Panzerotto and offers dayli changing lunch offers for a really good price (Panificio Soninno). There are two supermarkets and three fruit vendors around (for fruit visit Teresa's fruit place, the grapes 🍇 🍇 are delicious). The beach ⛱️ is just 7 minutes walking, so in case you are traveling with kids, you can come back fast to your place. The train station is just 3 min away, and you can be in the city center in 5 min with the train or 20 to 25 min walking. I will totally recommend Teresa's place, there is everything you need, it's great value for money (Preis-Leistung Verhältnis). it should be called 9 Stars interno

Verified reviewTheresa is a lovely and kind host. She is always available to answer questions either in person or via message. I had some small requests on the pillows and she changed quickly. The room is a good size. 25 min walk down the promenade to the old town centre of Bari. Small sandy beach close by. Check in was seamless, especially as our flight was delayed and Teresa was very accommodating with providing out of hours check in instructions.
The bathroom is not within the room but adjacent to the room, so one has to enter by leaving the room. However, we didn't have an issue with this and it was clearly stated in the listing. This property is essentially an apartment but split into 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a shared kitchen. It has one common entrance when entering. This means that one will hear the other guests coming and going, using their bathroom and so on. If you are a light sleeper, then this property won't be suitable due to the noise if someone is staying in the room next door. Unfortunately, one night, we were woken at 1am by the guests staying next door and also were able to hear all activities going on in their room. This was unsettling. I did raise this with the host, who took my comments on board and was very understanding but unfortunately, it really isn't her fault as she will never know how the guests will behave. She assured me she did speak to them to be more self-aware of other guests and after that, we were not disturbed by them again for the rest of our stay. Therefore, if you are easily disturbed by noise, then you must bear this in mind when choosing to stay at this property. I would suggest the owner looks to invest in some soundproofing especially some soft closing doors as no matter how quietly you lock and unlock the internal doors, it creates an echo in the hallway area and will wake someone who is a light sleeper.

good evening marcin I think your review is not true because in the description of interior 9 there is no bathroom in the room and private but not in the room you only have to walk a meter and not a corridor you wrote

Verified reviewthe location was perfect, the room is big and the balcony was welcome at night; Teresa was very helpfull with the surroundings and how to reach the old town
the bed was really unconrfortable and out of age, the bed frame was bigger than the mattress which was weird and a bit dangerous, the AC was whimsical, the plugs were out of age too. Don't get me started about the bathroom, here the shower really need a deep renovation : water was leaking from an open pipe (pipe normally dedicated to shower head hose) and the temperature was unbearable.
I never thought I would receive such gratuitous nastiness. I remind you that you didn't leave me the tourist tax and I'm not afraid of your review. The problems you listed are non-existent. The size of the mattress is a European standard, perhaps not suitable for your measurements. Thank you.

Verified reviewThe location, 200m from the seafront and beach, very close to the Marconi train station (you can get very fast to the Central station and from there anywhere). The host is very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty big, kitchen has all the utilities, big bathroom.
The pillows were uncomfortable, way to hard. In the bathroom would've been nice a soap dispenser instead of the bag of soap we had...
Dear customer, we will try to improve, even if for the pillows, there were two more with pillowcases in the wardrobe, and as regards the soap in the bathroom it is an additional service that we usually provide but not included in the price. Thanks again

Verified reviewGood location. Rooms were nice and clean, bed was comfortable. Nice common area (the kitchen with tables and the balcony), and there are only 2 rooms in total, so you have to share it with a very few people.
Even though we had our own bathroom, it was accessible only through the main hall. There were no shower curtains in the bathroom, therefore the floor was wet after showering.

Verified review1.The proximity to the beach, literally 3 minutes walk to the local beach which is small but nice to relax after a long day 2. Everything was clean and good organized, we found the place exactly as in the pictures. The blue room, however, is not that great, i recommend you take the white one!
1.We could NOT rest there. There are two rooms in the apartment, next to each other and the walls are verrry thin. You hear everything your room neighbors are doing, which at 2am or 7am gets a bit unpleasant. We were woken up by the slamming of the doors, hearing footsteps etc...also from other neighbors. Since the building is quite old, it's very very likely you'll hear that too and will bother you. Not only this, but there was a lot of noise coming from outside as well (as of May 2023, there are construction works going on). 2.Our contact person could not speak English, like not at all, even her translations (i assume on Google Translate) were very confusing. I was asking things on Whatsapp (her number was given to me as a contact), upon which she was either calling me and speaking Italian (?!) or redirecting me to Booking, where a person could actually reply in English...anyway the whole process was tiring, it took way too long to answer basic questions like "how do I activate the wifi" and overall not something you want to deal with while on vacation. 3. The place doesn't get cleaned at all during the stay; if you want a new, fresh towel, you have to pay 10Eur...or wait 7 days. Other places change them daily. Also, 10 Eur per towel?! 4. The apartment is close to the beach, but far from the city centre (30min walk), yes there is public transport nearby but Italy being Italy this was not reliable all the time. We were using Tier scooters daily to get to the centre, so if you are not used to driving that this might be an issue. Overall, i don't think i would stay there again, the place is indeed clean but it's quite unpleasant to be woken up and also to struggle communicating with the host...
I respond to several points 1. the guest was rude because she entered the room not assigned to her trying the bed, moreover the building is from 1970 with thick walls; 2. the guest, taking advantage of the kindness of the host, whom she never wanted to meet, for check-in she asked us to hand over the keys to an imaginary brother. 3. as described in Booking, cleaning and linen change are carried out on the seventh day, if the customer has booked without reading the notes in Booking, he cannot complain, furthermore the customer says he is German but in reality he is from Romania 4. Interior 9 it is already in the center of Bari and is a 15/20 minute walk from the historic centre. the guest had already been reported by us for negligence and vandalism.
