The location was brilliant! Nice, well stocked coffee maker in the shared kitchen. It was nice to have the option to cook, if we wanted. Room was clean, comfortable, simple, tasteful. The host was very kind and met us upon arrival to show us the ropes.

Manuel was great - easy to communicate with and helpful taking bags up to accomodation. Brilliant room right next to church… central, quiet, all mod cons in the kitchen. Safe storage for bikes- fabulous!

Amazing location, we loved our stay here. The aircon was great, shower was a dream the room was so spacious with a great view and you can literally roll to the main area - there was even someone playing the saxophone one morning it drew us out for a coffee - such an amazing time we didn’t really use the communal facilities but great to have them - coffee machine and a cooking area. Manuel was really informative and helpful.

You have to go in a dark arched access to a courtyard that is a work in progress in order to go up two flights of stairs to access the ghost hotel. As a solo traveler, that was a little less than ideal.

The location was great, but Lucca is small. Most locations would be good. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable, and the air con was good!

Host was kind and great to talk to, the location is as good as it gets (right by the center and yet very quiet), and the rooms are comfortable. The shared kitchen came in handy too!

Room, though very clean, smelled slightly of cigarette smoke and dirty feet (perhaps in fabric of headboard?). Host was not there to meet us at indicated time; he had emailed to ask us to call him, but we were out of wifi and not getting emails. Extra pillows would be useful. There was only one partial roll of toilet paper.

Locationi was great; view from room was nice. Price was decent.

Great location and beautifully appointed. Common area has all that you need and is squeaky clean. Manuel is a helpful yet discreet host - always there if you need him and quick to respond to any queries. In easy walking distance to all attractions, I'm delighted with our stay!

The shower was missing one door, so it was challenging to take a shower without making a mess, but I guess this will be fixed soon.

Manuel was super welcoming and open to our last-minute requests to store our luggage for a couple of hours. The room is located in a renovated flat but keeps the personality of the original building. The city is lovely.

The Stairs are a challenge for getting luggage up and down, but Manuel was super helpful in carrying them for us. Just be wary if you are not so young and agile.

What a fantastic place for accommodation if you want to explore the beautiful city of Lucca! Il Vicolo is situated on Piazza San Frediano, overlooking the mesmerising Basilica Di San Frediano. The rooms are situated in a lovely renovated old building. Fascinating are all the details of this place. They have managed to preserve the charm, character and history of the place, yet deliver a modern and luxurious interior. The room was clean, arranged with attention to the detail and taste. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and clean. You can use a shared kitchen to prepare your own meals and there’s a coffee machine with coffee beans that you can use as a complement. Maunuel is a great host, friendly and ready to help with everything you need! Overall, if you want to dive in the history and charm of Lucca, look no further!

Super new apartment recently renovated in the hearth of Lucca and very quiet. Kitchen with all the necessary for cooking and excellent coffee machine with grains. The room is very big and comfortable for long stays! The bathroom is completely new with all equipment working well and very good quality hair dryer. The cleaness of the place is super really remarkable. The owner: too nice and friendly and helpful. He also changes my towels!!!

Cozy place in the hearth of the old town. For anyone with car - there is a free parking 10 minutes walking from the city walls. Equipped with all you need. There are steep stairs!
