Reviews of Hotel Il Rustichello 3 stars

Location to Garda lake.

Unfortunately, as is often the case, when you book a hotel, you only see the nice photos, but the reality can be very different. In this case, the hotel Il Rustichello in Lonato del Garda turned out to be in a very sparsely populated, almost empty area. There were no places around except for a gas station and one pizzeria, which often closed in the summer. There was no mention anywhere that the hotel’s restaurant service would be unavailable because the entire staff had gone on vacation. So if you got hungry at night, there was simply nowhere to eat and you’d have to drive quite far to the next town just to find food. The hotel itself had a very rustic style with very old furnishings and an inconvenient room layout. There was no mini-bar, lots of stairs but no elevator, so if you had heavy luggage, you couldn’t carry it up easily. The only person really worth praising was an employee named Andrea, who was very kind and explained everything well, but of course he couldn’t change the reality of the situation. The beds were uncomfortable, the air conditioning was old and yellowed, and it blew directly on your head all night. You couldn’t open the windows because it was hot and there were mosquitoes, so you just had to endure the uncomfortable draft. The closets were inconveniently placed, the room was small, the corridors were not air-conditioned and smelled unpleasant. They were long and narrow, and you wouldn’t see many people around. In the morning, breakfast was very poor because the restaurant was closed. Overall, the hotel left a very unpleasant impression.

Nothing value for money. Bad facilities. Extra charges. Low standard as compare to price. No cot provided.

Very friendly staff. There is a small fridge with freezer in the room. Excellent breakfast.

We were missing the wifi password and some additional information in the room.

Room size is ok, cleanliness and comfort is good, staff is good, only one improvement required is that Hotel should place atleast 1 water bottle in the room, everything else is ok

It is really far from the lake would not book unless you have a car

very old hotel, not clean. poor morning, if you come back late the entrance to the hotel was closed, you have to describe another road without light.

The host was really nice

The staff was very polite. The room was very clean. There were many parking places outside of the hotel and a Gaz station next to it.

The air-condition did not function. There was no central heat in the room despite the fact that the temperature in night outside was 8 degrees. Another problem was that from my room I could hear very easily the rooms next to me .
