We had a wonderful time at Il Pavone, the proximity to old Town was perfect for our trip. I was so excited to stay there as the street was the same as my last name and we were on a journey to find some more about my family from Bari. The room was perfect - roomy, clean, well appointed. Eleonora was great and helpful in every way. Highly recommend!

Spotlessly clean and very quiet which is difficult in Old Bari - the room was big and comfortable and Eleonore was absolutely lovely.

The property was very clean, very well stocked with food and small extras, with a washing line on the balcony - so handy for travellers. A great location - quiet but convenient to all the sights in the old town. Eleanora was very welcoming and helpful, provided lots of useful information.

Eleanora is a great owner, her hospitality, care, tips are the reasons why we fell in love to Bari (of course the city as well) I would recommend her apartment on 100% Just arrived, so the experience is fresh :-) We had a full fridge of delicious fruit, salami, yogurts, plus all we need for breakfast. Bathroom is super clean, bed so comfy and the location is great for Bari sightseeing…lot of restaurants near by, amazing Bari old town life just a steps from the apartment. She was 24/7 on-line to help. This was for sure our best trip to Italy!

The bed is very soft But on the second day you get used to it

Perfect location! inside the old city. Which is a stunning place in itself. 10 minutes walk (in a stunning area) from the lively and new pedestrian mall with all the shops. The host Eleonora made the trip for us. She received us at a relatively late hour of ten at night. Note this is critical for those who land late. The place is very clean. Equipped with everything you can't dream of. From the smallest item to the largest. She leaves a refrigerator full of groceries that will be enough for you for breakfast for three full days. And of course capsules with a coffee machine. She recommended us amazing places and was available for any question on WhatsApp. Note that the bed is very soft if that is important to you. But for us the place received an excellent score. It was a wonderful vacation. We will definitely be back again

If you want to wake up with bells from Basillica de San Nicola; enjoy narrow old streets of Bari Veccio, smell of freshly washed laundry and homemade local pasta, then Il Pavone is a place to be. Also Murat neighborhood is within short walking distance. In appartement you have literally everything that you need for your city break stay. And design and comfort are at the highest level.

Great location! Clean, modern apartment with all amenities you might required for your stay - TV, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, towels and toiletries. Breakfast was included.

The most important points are 1/ the description on Booking.com is deeply misleading: 2/ The price is so excessive for what it is, that it too is misleading. As to the description: 1/ There is nobody "at the reception" for the simple reason that there is no reception! (the owner lives quite far away but is willing after a certain time to come to let one in and subsequently solve any problems; 2/ There is no cooker and no washing machine: 3/ The buffet breakfeast is not "served" (as indicated in the add) but is composed of some dry biscuits, fruit and yoghurts left in the apartment. As to the price: it leads one to expect a MUCH higher standard of accommodation (and, yes, that is comparing with hotels minutes from the old town and other apartments within). Among other things, we had no heating during the first night of our two-day stay in winter, but we were also kept awake by the loud noises of the air-conditioning/heater unit. It is true the owner came the next day with an electric heater, but no reduction of the price was offered. The streets of Bari are all narrow, however, this one is more of an alley way and so the building is maybe 3 meters from the opposite buidling. On the second floor therefore there is no light. The narrow and steep stairwell makes it difficult to carry up luggage even for people in the prime of their health! See below for the entrance when you arrive at the building and the "view" from the only window in the apartment.

This litttle one-room appartment is very well situated in the centre of the old town. It's confortable, tidy and clean and the decor is cheeful.
