Having to give key back every time you leave hotel - we came back on evening to find spare bed had been removed without warning (personal items moved). Ignore bar opening time sign, bar opens whenever the staff member is around. But at least not until 3. Could be more space for parking. Construction works (not fault of hotel), but no real views from 2nd floor bar construction.

One of the staff was quite rude throughout our stay so we avoided interacting with her when we could. You had to leave your key with the hotel staff every time you left the hotel which we found very strange and were quite uncomfortable with this. They said it was for security reasons but we don't see how they could be. The plug in our shower was broken so the water would not go down so we had to let the staff know and they fixed this. We were on the bottom floor and were able to hear all the noise from the people on top of us, sometimes movement at 2am! We also did not have a fridge in our room which was quite annoying to keep cold water.

The hotel was located in a good location - a 5 minute walk from the town. You were able to park in the hotel which saved us money and time trying to find a parking space.

One small concern. Lack of a proper shower in bathroom. Not easy to shower in the bath especially foe elderly clients like my wife and myself.

Facilities ie the 3 swimming pools and large bedrooms. Friendly, gracious staff who were keen to please.

The room was quite outdated, some basic items like the hairdryer and airco were malfunctioning. The pillows were not comfortable.

The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area 10 min walk from the city center. Breakfast was lovely and so was the staff.

The facilities could be freshened up a little. The breakfast could improve as well with little effort.

The staff where very helpful and kind. We initially had a room with a tiny shower and rather dated furniture and they changed us to a nicer one immediately. The pool area is nice, both in and outdoors. Walking distance from the lovely town.

Outdated decor (although very well kept). Minibar very difficult to open. Breakfast staff were slow to refill all items, and did not allow us to put two tables together so that we all could eat together.

Might have been handy to have a desk as I needed to do a bit of work, but lounge quiet enough to get on with it.

Fine breakfast. Comfy spacious room with balcony. Good pools though we tended to travel the island. Very clean and staff very pleasant. Sufficient parking space. Beach is a pleasant stroll down the road, but not sandy so car needed if seeking one or take the infrequent bus. Plenty of good Italian restaurants at the harbour. Elba is a wonderful island to visit with so much to see and just an hour by ferry away from Piambino on the mainland.

The hotel (receptionnist) could have notified us (and any other guests) to avoid parking right by the garden gate under the pine tree. The birds sitting on the three branches pooped on my car (like 20 large stains) which may not be totally removed so my car paintwork has been damaged :-(

Breakfast was very good for 2 days but a disaster on the 3rd day! We do think it was because of a shortage of staff even though it was during the weekend...

The room was big and comfy. Everything you needed as toileteries. Location is perfect as well.

Rooms and bathrooms are quite old and used. Bathroom especially is not in line with a 4-star hotel - small bath tub only and no cabin. Breakfast quite simple.

The staff were so attentive and did everything with a smile. Rooms were large and air conditioning wasn’t noisy. Always room by the pool. Waiter service at the pool. Location great for easy walk to the sea front and restaurant/bars.

Breakfast didn’t start until 8 on a Sunday but staff packed a very generous take away breakfast as I had to leave early.

The staff was very friendly, the room was large and comfortable, a great breakfast and the pool was very nice. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the water. I would recommend this hotel, a great value.
