he host was very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed delicious homemade pastries, along with fresh fruits and vegetables. The pets were adorable and friendly, which made the stay even more pleasant. The apartment was well equipped, especially the kitchen. Everything was just perfect for us.

We have nothing to complain about, therefore we returned here for the second time.

This house settled amongst the vineyards is the trip location itself. Sitting on the benches and watching sunset and nearby villages and nature is very relaxing. Apartment is air-conditioned and hasbeverything you need. The owner offered us fresh eggs, own vegetables and croissants.

The owner was super super super helpful and passionate , she help us wash the clothes (simple clothes), and provided us many foods for breakfast , the snack and cake was super tasty , nice Mountain View , and the wood made house is big and fantastic , we had a wonderful stayed there.

We (2 adults + 1 teen daughter) have stayed at this lovely holiday home which is well cared for and equipped with everything you could have thought of. House consists of bedroom & loft bedroom in upper floor and bathroom. Bathroom is provided with the door between bathroom & sink area which provided us an ample privacy so that we could use the bathroom more than one person at a time without intruding the privacy. This was a really good idea, and we have loved it very much. Thanks to the owner’s kind gesture and consideration, house was already heated with comfortable temperature when we have checked in at night. We also found a surprise breakfast items on the dining table. What we loved so much is land lady’s homemade cake which we could die for. This surprise was very appreciated and useful at the same time & her homemade cake is very addictive. Once we have tasted this, no cafeteria sweets could satisfy our taste bud any longer. We originally thought of grabbing the breakfast on the way after the check out. Instead, we could have a breakfast at the comfort of the house before checking out. Also, communication was great too. Owner speaks English is great plus in Italy. Since it was winter and we just stayed for 1 night just to sleep over, unfortunately we could not use outdoor facility. It would have been nice to chill out in the outdoor area with BBQ during the summer months overlooking the view of vineyard to relax our mind from the daily hectic life. If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, this is such a rare to find with full of comfort and lovely owner family with heart of Gold – not to be missed. You will never regret it. I highly recommend this place to anyone especially who appreciate the nature and beauty of the country. Thank you so much for the unforgettable stay. It was a truly magical experience.

Unfortunately you can hear the guests in the other Apartment quite clearly. And my neighbours were youngsters who came back in the middle of the night having loud conversations and taking showers But offcourse the owner cannot help that there are quite rude people in the world. And she reacted real nice when I told her about it the next day. So the host was a 10 plus;)!

If you want a vacation in the countryside, far from the hustle and bustle of the city and a view of beautiful nature and vineyards, this is the right place. The host Julia is very friendly and will wait for you with a warm welcome and food and drink for serving, considering that the store is not in the immediate vicinity. I would definitely recommend this place. Especially if you want to visit a lot of other places around by car and sleep in a quiet environment and in the fresh air.

A brilliant accomodation in the middle of vineyards, calm place, excellent rooms, and an extremely pleasant host who provided us with sweets, fruits, vegetables and much more. Rooms very well prepared, clean, air-conditioned. Also nice for kids, as they have home animals (dogs and cats). Definitely recommended for families and also for others!

In the evening it is very quit and peaceful (we loved it!!). Just know that at night one might hear some sounds of the apartment next to you. The location is a beautiful renovated farm, stone walls made of big rocks, stone roof, stone floor. But... if all guests just keep this in mind: then it is a great place to stay. A little 'gem' on the slopes of the mountain...

This place has the best view in the area. Difficult to catch on a picture, but we had breakfast, lunch and dinner all the time in the shadow of the trees, looking out over the landscape and in the evening enjoying the sunset. The host was great. Every day some nice baking (we loved the tiramisu!!) and fresh eggs and vegetables from the garden. We had a stroll through the vineyard, petted the sweet dogs that were around outside and walked around in the area. The host also gave some great recommendations for food (at another Agricultura) and gave the best tips to travel to Venice.

Serpentined leading towards the house, but if you follow the navigating instructions of the owner, not gps, you will get to the house on more comfortable roads.

We had a wonderful stay at Castagneto, Giulia is the nicest host. Not only does she provides homemade delicious cakes , fresh eggs for delicious breakfast she is the most gentle and helpful host. We strongly recommend a stay at Castagneto set in a beautiful countryside.

Cordiality, generosity, hospitality - these are three words that can describe the owner of the place where I spent a wonderful week! The apartment is very clean and spacious with an amazing view over windows on hills. Beds are comfy and in the kitchen you can find everything what you need but even there is something missing the host will help you. In the apartment you can find toasts, jam, cookies, milk, juice and water. Every morning freshly baked cakes waited for us! Internet connection is OK to search for info on laptop. I could hear the people staying in the other room next door as they were rather loud and shouting but this wasn't a fault of the hotel jus the other guests.

Location is perfect with open vineyards with panoramic views, the owner is very pleasant and accommodating with fresh homemade pie waiting for me in my room for breakfast. 2 lovely friendly dogs were waiting as I arrived they just added to the experience.

I am from Australia and on my first visit to Italy in 2017, I and my husband stayed at II Castagneto. On our second visit to Italy, we made sure we stayed again. My first comment to my husband when we arrived was "it is like coming home". Julia is an exceptional host. The accommodation is absolutely clean and comfortable. Julia's home-baked goods and home-made jams send my husband into an eating frenzy they are so good. The views and environment provide you with an understanding of the beauty of the area and agriculture in Italy. On our next visit which will be to see south of Rome, we will take the time out of the journey to travel north and spend time at our adopted "Italian Home".
