The grounds and facility are beautiful! The staff is so attentive and made us feel right at home. The room was spacious for the 4 of us and we loved having a balcony that overlooked Riardo and the castle.

WiFi connection does not function reliably in the room but works well in the common area. The physical address of the property is not accurate as shown on the booking.com website. It’s 20 not 10.

I was disappointed that the restaurant was not open for our visit. Furniture was not very comfortable for sitting.

The pool and gardens were wonderful. The view of the gardens and castle was perfect. Breakfast was very good with all the choices one could want.

We had a bit of a mix up and assumed they served food, but they didn't at all for the whole time we were there. Not a big deal, but it would have been better for us if it was clear that you cannot expect the restaurant to be open, especially when we have a baby to feed. Breakfast was plentiful but it is a lot of sugar - trying to find something healthy and low sugar for us and the baby was a challenge. The croissants, however, are absolutely delicious!! The AC was also not terribly effective: we were there in July, and the room temperature never went below 28 degrees, even with the AC on as high as possible. This made sleeping at night a bit difficult, but the wonderful staff gave us a fan to help with this. We also didn't understand that the main focus for the building is to host events, and we would have appreciated being told in advance that events were happening during our stay: we didn't know there was an 18th birthday party until they were setting up, and with a little baby, we were concerned to be kept awake all night! Thankfully that didn't happen, but it did make me feel a bit uncomfortable leaving the room during the events where families and friends have paid for use of a beautiful and intimate venue. Finally, it is very difficult to get around in the area if you don't have your own transport. Our friends were staying in a nearby hotel (ten minutes drive) and were quoted 50 EUR for a taxi! Not the fault of Casale di Riardo, but it does make it difficult to enjoy the area.

The staff, particularly Ibrahim and Rita, are wonderful and the facilities themselves are just gorgeous. We spent lovely days by the pool, and were able to order drinks. It is a very calm ambience, within walking distance to a small village where you can find food and an atm. Everything was kept exceptionally clean and staff tried their best to help with any questions.

I loved the gardens, the setting is beautiful. The suite was large, comfortable and very clean. Rita was an excellent host.

Staff took care of all our needs. They even did our laundry as we are walking the Francigena. Restaurant was only open for lunch on Sunday. But it was superb. For dinner they sent us to the Bistrot in town a few 100 meters away. And it was so good that we visited twice. Overall one of the best places we’ve stayed on the via francigena.

Firstly, internet was awful. It's difficult to understand how, with today's technology, internet service could be as slow & inconsistent as what we experienced over our 4 day stay. Secondly, our sole experience in the official dining room was equally disappointing. While the fact that only 3 rooms were being occupied during our stay could explain the rather limited menu, it does not explain why our food was served lukewarm. Our lukewarm steak arrived undercooked, not tender at all and was served without a steak knife (try cutting into a tough piece of undercooked meat with a dull knife). For the other nights we simply requested the availability of a microwave to reheat the take-out food that we could pick-up on our trip back to the hotel (something we'd done on our last trip here) but were told they couldn't do this time and that we'd have to ask the service person to do for us. Not wanting to keep an employee on stand-by, we decided to pick-up pizza. We felt our request wasn't abusive but given we were the only guests during our last 3 days, keeping an employee on stand-by did not make sense to us.

Could order what we wanted for breakfast and Rita was a real "treasure". She was always discret and our room was always serviced when we were out. She & Abraham were so helpful really made us comfortable and welcomed.

We should have stayed longer.

Everything was perfect. Great variety each breakfast and wonderful local products and ingredients were the focus. All who worked at the hotel were passionate and very accommodating to help at all hours.

We were unaware at the time of the booking that it is also an event space with an event planned for this night. We had driven from the hustle of Naples to be in quiet. Unfortunately there was a sweet 18 party until 12:30am that kept us up and was louder in the room than our hotel in Naples. The manager gave us a slight discount on dinner and a bottle of wine when we checked out which we appreciated. At least they were willing to try to do something to make it right. I would double check before booking as to whether an event is happening to those interested. Because events also utilize the pool area which is a major draw for the hotel. Absolutely beautiful hotel otherwise and truly special hosts!

I loved meeting the owner. A very kind and jovial man. He and his wife care a great deal about this space. They take impeccable care of it.

This is a delightful and very special hotel with an incredible chef, beautiful gardens, one of the best pools I've ever been in with birds swooping over and wonderful views. Delicious wine from the local vinyard. It is also excellent value for money.

We had a lovely time at the garden and swimming pool having our wines and snacks around. people were smiling and giving positive vibes as usual. best option if you wish to have a relaxing holiday in a lovely atmosphere.

The old town nearby with the castle at the top of the hill was a quite run down and it appeared that bit many locals were not living there anymore. The pool was also not available for use (which we didn’t know about until we arrived) however we never had a chance to use it as we had to leave early the next day. it did look very nice however!

Very good venue for a wedding. Pool and views were great.. We were the only guests staying for the night that we were there and we had a personal chef serve us a local dinner and we drank the owners white wine which was amazing. The fish and meat / cheese boards were a very good starter. Great venue for a group of friends to sit around the pool and enjoy some local wine.

The soundproof is bad. You can hear the another room's bathroom and whats happening outside the window.

The place by itself is very beautiful- nice garden, pool and rooms. Staff is very helpful and polite. Rooms are very clean, looking good and comfy.

The property was lovely! Pool area was fantastic. The rooms are dated but it was what I expected from the pictures online. If you need something there was someone available for your request but not a lot of staff around. We needed to be in the area so it worked out great for us but it is far from any big towns.
